Charles E. Cotsonas (1949 – 2015)
STUYVESANT—Charles “Chuck” E. Cotsonas, 65, of Stuyvesant died Monday, October 19, 2015 at his home.
Born October 23, 1949 in Rockville Centre, he was the third son of the late James J. and Helen L. (McWilliams) Cotsonas.
Mr. Cotsonas worked for Dinosaw in Hudson as a salesman, retiring in 2013. He was a 1967 graduate of Hudson High School and attended SUNY Cobleskill.
He was a former member of the Northern Columbia Jaycees, holding various local and state offices. A life member of the Stockport Volunteer Fire Company #1, he held various offices there as well as a former member and chairman of the Stockport Board of Fire Commissioners. He was a member of the Kinderhook Elks Lodge #2530, serving on many committees over the years. In 2010 he served as state vice president and district deputy grand exalted ruler in 2012.
He is survived by: his wife, Rhea L. (Hornung) Cotsonas; four children, Charles Cotsonas (Michelle) of Columbiaville, Richard Cotsonas (Stephanie) of North Granby, CT, Susan Cotsonas of Stuyvesant and James Cotsonas (Sarah) of Valatie; three brothers, John Cotsonas (Madeline) of Green Valley, AZ, H. Michael Cotsonas of Stuyvesant, Gary Cotsonas (Mary) of Catskill; four grandchildren, Casey Gregory (Ryan) of Chatham, Aaron Cotsonas of Columbiaville, Terence and Abigail Cotsonas of North Granby, CT, and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 24, 10 a.m. on at St. John the Baptist Church, Route 9, Valatie, with the Reverend George Fleming officiating. Burial will follow in Ghent Union Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Friday, October 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. The Elks will have a service Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marion Stegman Fund or the Kinderhook Elks Lodge # 2530, both at P.O. Box 514, Kinderhook 12106.
Irene J. Colwill (1940 – 2015)
ALBANY—Irene J. Colwill, 75, of Valatie passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Albany Medical Center after a brief illness.
Born February 17, 1940 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Stephan and Katherine (Ofansky) Kuzmiak. Mrs. Colwill was a long time employee of the Columbia Corporation in Chatham and was a currently secretary for the New York State Sheriffs’ Association in Albany. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie.
She is survived by: her husband, John “Jack” M. Colwill; five children, Pamela Mead (Stephen) of Ghent, Donald White (Sandra) of Austin, TX, David White (Cynthia) of Duanesburg, Sheree Marinilli (Nunzio) of Braintree, MA, and Christine Huber (Eric) of Catskill; three siblings, William Kuzmiak of Ghent, Elizabeth Flaherty of Hackensack, NJ, and Nicholas Kuzmiak of Middletown; eight grandchildren, Andrew and Stephanie Mead, Leanna and Brennan White, Christopher and Caroline Hermanns, Giovanni and Isabella Marinilli; several nieces and nephews.

Deborah L. Bozzone (1962 – 2015)
LIVINGSTON—Deborah L. Bozzone, 53, of Claverack died Friday, October 16, 2015 at Livingston Hills Nursing Home following a long illness.
Born in Poughkeepsie, August 15, 1962, she was the daughter of Patricia A. DeGroff of Claverack and the late Willard J. DeGroff.
Ms. Bozzone was a mail carrier for the U.S.P.S. had a passion for drawing and painting and some of her artwork is displayed in several local public buildings.
In addition to her mother, she will be greatly missed by: her sister, Donna DeGroff; nephew, Cory DeGroff; aunts, Shirley Kipp and Cecelia Babjeck; many cousins and family members not listed.
Family and friends will gather Monday, October 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. A memorial service follows at 6 p.m. with Pastor Jon Hodges officiating. Burial of her ashes will be private at Mellenville Union Cemetery.
