Charles F. Colaruotolo (1938 – 2014)

VALATIE, NY – Charles Francis Colaruotolo, 75, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014 after a brief illness.

Born in Cohoes, he lived there most of his life.

A 1956 graduate of Catholic Central High School, he attended SUNY Cobleskill where he earned a degree in Agriculture/Ornamental Horticulture in 1958. He was an Eagle Scout and brother in the Zeta Alpha Phi fraternity. He worked in the family business and later founded C&M Farms and Greenhouses in 1981. He grew and shipped plants, produce and Christmas products throughout the Northeast and was a member of the Albany County Farm Bureau.

He was a dear and irreplaceable friend to many and family was the center of his life. He was the son of the late Frank S. Colaruotolo and Mary E. Stefanello.

He is survived by his loving wife of more than 50 years, Mary Anne (Dobrucki) Colaruotolo; his sons, Frank S. and Charles F. Colaruotolo, Jr.; his daughter-in-law, Nancy; his granddaughter, Jennifer Colaruotolo; his sisters, Cora Colaruotolo and Anne Marie Castle both of Cohoes; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Frank Castle of Cohoes, Kenneth Sipperly of Latham, Larry and Sue Cahrenger of Waterford and Joanne Welcome of Cohoes. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sisters, Elizabeth (Betty) Sipperly and Mary Grace Swartz.

His funeral will be held on Friday, September 12, 8 a.m. from the Parker Bros. Memorial, 2013 Broadway, Watervliet and at 9 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, Cohoes where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.   Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Waterford. Friends are invited to attend and may also visit with the family Thursday, September 11, 3 to 6 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Linda A. Stallmer (1963 – 2014)

ALBANY—Linda A. Stallmer of Valatie passed away September 6, 2014 at St. Peters Hospice Inn.

Born August 24, 1963, she was the beloved mother of her son, Martin F. Stallmer and loving wife of 27 years to Martin J. Stallmer.

Mrs. Stallmer was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer June 7, 2004. Her doctors gave her eight months to live. She fought the cancer for 11 years.

She was a strong and loving person, who will be missed by the many whose lives she touched.

Mrs. Stallmer fought for her life so she could see her son become the fine young man he has become and to give love and support to her husband every day.

She also leaves behind her mother, Helen T. Steinbach and two sisters.

A Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Church, 1025 Kinderhook Street, Valatie, Saturday September 13, noon. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie.

June Dunham Blake (1936 – 2014)

SPENCERTOWN—June Dunham Blake passed away August 20, 2014 at her home. A memorial service celebrating her life takes place Saturday, September 20, 11 a.m. at St. Peter’s Presbyterian Church, 5219 County Route 7 (South Street) at the intersection of State Route 203.
