Lara Bloodgood (1955 – 2019)
PINE PLAINS—Lara “Kim” (Hoyt) Bloodgood, 64, passed away Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at home after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born February 1, 1955 in Hudson, the daughter of Neils and Alice (Frenzel) Hoyt, Sr.
She was a cashier at Peck’s Market in Pine Plains.
On August 14, 1976 in Stanfordville, she married Eugene Bloodgood, Sr. He survives her at home.
In addition to her husband Eugene, survivors include: her four children, Heidi Bathrick (Kenny), Christina Swartz (Fred), Eugene Bloodgood, Jr. (Cady), Michelle Campbell (Jason); four grandchildren, Alyssa, Liam, Emma and Wyatt; eight siblings, William, Robert, Pat, Richard, Kermit, Neils Jr., Harold and Joseph.
She was predeceased by three siblings, Augusta Wheeler, Norma Chorney and Cora Davis.
Friends are invited and may call Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main Street, Pine Plains.
A graveside service will follow calling hours at Stanford Cemetery in Stanfordville with the Reverend Andrew Smith officiating.

Lester Butler (1930 – 2019)
LIVINGSTON—Lester Butler, 83, of Livingston passed away July 3, 2019 at his residence.
He was born May 11, 1930 in Rhinecliff. He was the son of Albert and Hattie (Burnett) Butler.
Mr. Butler worked for many years at Royal Carting in Hopewell Junction as an equipment operator prior to his retirement. After his retirement he could be found fishing, spending time with his family or tinkering on his trucks and cars. He had a strong affection for cowboy movies and westerns.
Mr. Butler is survived by: his seven children, John, Billy and Mark Bolde, Lester, Larry, Paul and Carl Butler; 16 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beatrice and his great-granddaughter, Alivia Butler.

Bernice I. West (1927 – 2019)
LIVINGSTON—Bernice West, 92, of Livingston passed away in the early morning hours of July 13, 2019.
She was born March 20, 1927 in Wappingers Falls, the daughter of Manuel and Mabel Fernandez. She worked in various capacities throughout her life.
She helped to establish the library at Vassar College, before going to work for a real estate broker and later as a legal secretary. Mrs. West worked for a good number of years as an activities aide at the former Adventist Home in Livingston.
In 1993, she was called by the Lord to become ordained deacon. She started out on her journey with five years of study that took her through churches in both Columbia and Dutchess counties. She started in Germantown, and also served in Dover Plains, Pleasant Valley, Wingdale and Elizaville before coming back to Germantown. She also was a member of the Germantown United Methodist Church Choir.
Mrs. West is survived by: her five children, Judi Bathrick, Nancy Sommerville, Deborah Boseman, Anthony Leggio and Michael West; many grandchildren, and even more great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Manuel and Robert Fernandez.
She was predeceased by her two husbands, Vincent James Leggio and Thomas West; her son, Vincent J. Leggio and her brother, Richard Fernandez.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2019, 3 p.m. from the Elizaville United Methodist Church, 740 County Route 2, Elizaville.

Linda Dolfax (1942 – 2019)
GREENPORT—Linda Dolfax, 77, of Greenport passed away Monday, July 15, 2019.
Born in Greenport June 30, 1942, she was the daughter of Theodore and Dulcie (Rockefeller) Gritmon.
She lived her entire life in Columbia County. Mrs. Dolfax was a member of the Greenport Seniors, and a dedicated member of the Livingston Memorial Church of Linlithgo. She was also an avid reader, loved birds and flowers, and was very devoted to God.
Left to cherish her memory are: her husband, Robert C. Dolfax; daughter, Melissa Lighthart; grandsons, Shawn and Kyle Lighthart; sister, Shirley Schmitt; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her son, Timothy Dolfax.
A funeral service will be held Friday, July 19, 10 a.m. from the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Doris J. Moore (1934 – 2019)
GHENT—Doris Jeanette Moore, 85, of Hudson died peacefully Thursday, July 11, 2019 at Whittier Nursing Home.
Born in Hudson April 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Ettore and Maria (Calchi) Leccese.
Mrs. Moore was a supervisor at the Universal Match Company in Hudson for 28 years. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Roman Catholic Shrine and was a Shrine board member. She was member of the Columbia County Golden Agers, Greenport Seniors, Hudson Seniors, Greenport Garden Club and the Columbia County Sons and Daughters of Italy, as well as a volunteer with Columbia Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry L. Moore.
She will be greatly missed by: her son, Donald K. (Karyn) Moore of Hudson; brother, Arthur Leccese of Virginia Beach; son-in-law, Roger J. Zito of Valatie; grandchildren, Karen Gardner, Craig Zito, Laura Jean Nicholos, Lisa Marie Hodges and David Norman Moore, Jr.; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Claudia A. Zito; her son, David N. and wife (Laura) Moore; brothers, Victor, Frank and Antonio Leccese; and her sisters, Mary Mickle and Ann Leccese.
A traditional funeral Mass of Christian Burial was conducted Tuesday, July 16 at the Sacred Heart/ Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Shrine, 442 Fairview Avenue, Hudson. Burial followed in Cedar Park Cemetery.
