Frank M. Adams (1951 – 2018)
HUDSON—Frank M. Adams, 67, of Copake passed away suddenly Monday. November 19, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
He was born February 21, 1951 in Long Beach, the son of Leroy and Caroline (Myers) Adams.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Bayside Fuel Oil in the Bronx.
Mr. Adams was a family-orientated man who took great pride in spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. Whether it be driving his grandchildren to school or watching his beloved Red Sox, he would always have a smile and warm greeting for all. He had many diverse interests including jigsaw puzzles, model railroading and heavy metal concerts.
He is survived by: his wife, Elizabeth (Murphy) Adams; two daughters, Cassandra Adams and Sherilyn Adams; his grandchildren, Zoey, Reese and Brody; a sister, Jill Murphy and many extended family members.
Friends and relatives are invited and may call Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake.
Funeral services will follow at noon from the funeral home with the Reverend George Brennan of the Our Lady of Hope Parish officiating.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.

Jacqueline L. McKeon (1962 – 2018)
CHATHAM—Jacqueline (LaChance) McKeon died November 21, 2018 at home in the company of her beloved children after a brief illness. She was 56.
Born May 31, 1962 in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Owen John “Jack” and Nancy LaChance of Middleburgh. She is survived by her children, Maura and Jack. Raising her children was her greatest accomplishment and the bond the three of them shared was unique. They go out into the world as independent, compassionate and courageous adults each with a strong sense of self.
She is also survived by: cousins, Susan Curtis, Michael Morris, Shannon Spinney; James Curtis, Lyell Curtis, Jessie Curtis; Barbara (Brad) Bockrath, Diane Bockrath; Chris (Jeanne) Adams, Savannah (Niklaus) Andersson; Roderick (Donna) Roca, Peggy Roca; and a treasured aunt, Jean Curtis of Potsdam.
She was blessed with a huge contingent of friends from all walks of life, from childhood through adulthood.
She graduated from Middleburgh Central School in 1980. She graduated from Utica College of Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in journalism in 1984. She worked as news editor of the Camillus Advocate right after college before moving to Columbia County. She was a reporter for the Register Star from 1985 to 1988, followed by a year at The Independent newspaper. After freelancing for local publications and non-profits, she went on to work as public relations coordinator for the former Taconic Telephone Corp. in Chatham from 1990 to 1999. She returned to freelance work after raising her children.
For the past six years, she was a contributing writer for The Chatham Press, a community journalism project close to her heart. At the time of her death she also served as community relations assistant at Camphill Ghent in Chatham where she had worked for more than three years.
She was a communicant of St. James Church in Chatham, joining in 2004 through the RCIA program. She was a longtime former member of the Northern Columbia County Rotary Club and the Upper Hudson Zonta Club. She was a member of the Bluestockings Book Club for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Kinderhook Rughooking Group for several years.
Calling hours will be held Sunday, December 2, noon to 2 p.m. with a memorial service at 2 from the St. James Church, Chatham

Caroline G. Prystajko (1937 – 2018)
ALBANY—Caroline G. Prystajko, 81, of Greenport, passed away November 21, 2018 peacefully at Albany Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
She was born March 5, 1937 to Clinton and Gladys (McManus) Harring in Cairo. She worked as a bookkeeper in her father’s electrical business as well as working for various manufacturing companies, until her retirement.
She and her husband, Michael enjoyed 59 years of marriage. Mrs. Prystajko will be remembered for her love and devotion to family, trips into the beautiful Catskill mountains and to the beaches of Delaware and her gift for drawing.
Her wit and humor were unmatched and her connection to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will leave a legacy of compassion and love that will live forever.
Mrs. Prystajko is survived by: her husband, Michael; son, Michael, Jr, and his wife Kendy; her daughter, Katrina and her companion Bill; her four adored grandchildren, Justin, Ali, Autumn and Nikolas; eight great-grandchildren, Hayley, Logan, Noah, Audriana, Dominic, Lyla, Alex and Vivian; one sister, Jill Wiedeman.
She was predeceased by her parents, Clinton and Gladys Harring; brother, Clinton Harring, Jr., and her sisters, Marie Walski and Gladys Drobnicki.
Visitation will be at Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson, 11 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2018 with funeral services at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Cedar Park Cemetery.
Carole A. Bergen (1939 – 2018)
HUDSON—Carole Ann Bergen, age 79, of Hillsdale died Friday, November 23, 2018 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
She was born January 19, 1939 in Atlantic City, NJ, the daughter of the late Frederick and Edna (Perry) Duncan.
Mrs. Bergen worked as an administrative assistant at the RCA Corporation for many years and also ARI in Moorestown, NJ.
She is survived by: her husband of 52 years, Harry E. Bergen of Hillsdale; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and John Sullivan of Holliston, MA; two granddaughters, Nora and Margaret of Holliston, MA; and her brother, James Duncan of Westborough, MA.
Mrs. Bergen thoroughly enjoyed her retirement. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in the league at Copake for many years. She volunteered at the Roeliff Jansen Community Library and at Christ Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Chatham.
Visitation will be held at the Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Avenue, Chatham, Wednesday, November 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Christ Our Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 19 Park Row, Chatham, Thursday, November 29 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
