Ralph David Fuss Sr, 77, loved gardening and animals

GHENT—Ralph David Fuss Sr, of Ghent passed away June 20, 2010. He was born April 17, 1933 in Hudson, the son of the late John and Margaret Roraback Fuss.
He loved gardening, his pets and all animals. He enjoyed puttering with mechanics and carpentry—both of which he was good at. He enjoyed just being home around the people and things he liked. Mr. Fuss was in the US Air Force from 1942 to 1946. He worked for the Ghent Highway Department for many years.
He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Nancy. Until his own illness, he would visit her daily at the nursing home. He was a caring and gentle man.
In addition to his wife Nancy Rivenburg-Fuss, Mr. Fuss is survived by his sons, Ralph Jr and Craig Fuss; his daughter, Carol Usyk; three grandchildren, Trisha, Justin and Zachary Usyk; his brothers, John and Richard Fuss; and his sister Mary Wagner.
Family will receive friends Friday, June 25, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the French, Gifford, Preiter and Blasl Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham. Interment will be private.
