Priscilla Stagias (1927 – 2014)
ALBANY—Priscilla Stagias, 87, of Germantown died Thursday July 17, 2014 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
Born March 23, 1927 in Peekskill, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Ruth (Moshier) Manderville.
Prior to her retirement she was a nurse’s aide for more than 31 years with the Home for the Aged in Hudson. She was an avid reader, enjoyed travel, people and good food.
Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Charles Stagias; cousin, Connie MacIntire and many friends.
She was predeceased by her first husband Frank Roberts, Sr.; her son, Frank, Jr.; brothers, George, Louis; and sister, Winifred Manderville.
Calling hours will be Monday, July 21, 5 to 7 p.m. at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.
Services will be Tuesday, July 22, 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Stuyvesant Falls Cemetery.

Charles E. Switzer (1920 – 2014)
VALATIE—Charles E. Switzer, 93, of Valatie and formerly of Woonsocket, RI, died Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Barnwell Health Facilities.
Born August 31, 1920 in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Scanlon) Schweitzer.
Mr. Switzer was a World War II veteran in the U.S. Army and worked for Tupperware as material handler in Blackstone, MA, for many years.
He is survived by: his son, Charles J. Switzer (Sue) of Niverville; three grandchildren, Renee, Charlie and Amy; seven great-grandchildren, Amber, Quenton, Connor, Kailey, Julia, Emily and EJ, and 1 great-great-grandson, Aiden.
He was predeceased by his wife, Mary J. (Martin) Switzer
Funeral Services and burial will be held in Woonsocket, RI. Local arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
Eliezer “Rocky” Dominguez (1981 – 2014)
ALBANY—Eliezer “Rocky” Dominguez of Chatham passed away June 20, 2014 at Albany Medical Center.
Born August 5, 1981 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he was the son of Eliezer and Ivette Valentin Dominguez.
He spent his early years in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida when he was 13.
He lived with his caretakers Miguel Ramos and Mario Rodriguez and they considered him a son. He was educated in Florida and became a CNA. While working at a rehab center in Orlando, he met his future wife, Danielle, who was a nurse there. He became a father and husband in 2008.
In 2010, he moved to Chatham with his family. Mr. Dominguez began working at Whittier Nursing and Rehab in Ghent while pursuing his nursing career. He was a graduate of the Questar LPN program and received a leadership award as well as his license in 2011. Mr. Dominguez continued his work as an LPN at Whittier, where he loved his work, his patients and is known for his infectious smile and compassionate nature.
In 2013, he became a father again to a son, Benicio Dominguez.
His passion was playing paint ball and he won a world cup championship with team Strange in 2000 in Orlando, Florida. He also enjoyed recreational sports. He loved his family most of all and spent all his spare time with them.
He is survived by: his loving wife, Danielle Sullivan; his daughter, Eliana; his son, Benicio; his mother, Ivette Dominguez; his brother, Carlos; sisters, Norma and Dhanna; nieces, nephews, cousins and his lifelong friend Courtney Gaines.

Harry A. Pulver, Jr.
ALBANY—Harry A. Pulver, Jr., of Kinderhook died Saturday, July 19, 2014 in hospice care at St. Peter’s Hospital. He was 88.
Mr. Pulver is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey (Sheryl), Michael (Linda) and Peter (Susan); grandchildren, Andrew, Wesley, Ryan, Kristen, Ethan and Justin; brother-in-law, Jack Whalen of Florida.
Mr. Pulver was preceded in death by his wife, June; sisters, Helen and Ann; mother, Eleanor; father, Harry, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Fran Kern and Ray Tuominin.
Mr. Pulver was dedicated to his family, friends and community and lived his life with honor and integrity. He was educated at Martin Van Buren School in Kinderhook, Christian Brothers Academy in Albany, and Russell Sage College in Troy. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the later stages of World War II as an expert in Morse Code aboard a LCI 943 landing craft and the U.S.S. Success mine sweeper. After the war Mr. Pulver was employed by the Western Electric Company (currently Lucent Technologies) for 40 years.
During his time at Western Electric, he supervised the installation of much of the equipment needed to transmit long distance telephone calls in the northeast. He also spent six months on the famous Texas Tower #6 advanced radar warning station located in the Gulf of Mexico as a radio man. Mr. Pulver served as the mayor of Kinderhook between 1972 and 1975. He also served as a trustee on the Kinderhook Village Board for eight years. He is a 67-year-member of the Palmer Engine and Hose Fire Company in Kinderhook, a lifetime member of Little Squaw Hunting Club and a longtime member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Valatie. Mr. Pulver enjoyed skiing, hunting, golf, Cape Cod, puttering around the house and travel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St John the Baptist Church in Valatie, Wednesday, July 23 at 11 a.m. Calling hours will be at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home in Valatie, 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 22.
Burial will be at the Kinderhook Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 1025 Kinderhook Street, Valatie 12184.
