Victor Bleibtrey, 80, Korean War vet

ALBANY–Victor Bleibtrey, 80, of Red Hook died Friday, June 18, 2010 at the Albany Medical Center.
Mr. Bleibtrey retired from Western Printing in Poughkeepsie in 1980. After his retirement, he worked part-time at the Dutchess County Fair in Rhinebeck for many years. He was a member of St. Christopher’s Church in Red Hook, the Red Hook-Rhinebeck Elks Lodge #2022 BPOE, the Red Hook Boat Club, and Red Hook Post #7765, VFW.
Born March 15, 1930 in Staten Island, he was the son of the late Victor and Theresa Bleibtrey. During the Korean War, Mr. Bleibtry served in the US Army.
He married his wife of almost 56 years, Jean M. Kellerhouse, July 25, 1954 in Elizaville. She survives him at home in Red Hook.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Monday, June 21, at St Christopher’s Church in Red Hook. The Reverend Xavier Santiago will officiate. Cremation will be at Wiltwyck Cemetery in Kingston.
Friends may call at the Burnett & White Funeral Home, 7461 South Broadway, Red Hook, Sunday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Bleibtrey’s memory to the Hospice Foundation, Inc., 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie 12601 or the Red Hook Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 100, Red Hook 12571.
