Andrew Scott Wheeler (1983 – 2014)
HOBART—Andrew Scott Wheeler passed away June 2, 2014, in Hobart.
He was born September 8, 1983, in Sharon, CT, and grew up in Ancramdale.
He was the dearly beloved son of Richard Wheeler and Therese (Chapman) Brazee; brother of Kae Wheeler; grandson of Gerald and Augusta Wheeler and Robert and Patricia Chapman; and the father of Rielee, Shane, Kaylin and Tristen.
He will be greatly missed as a loving son and brother, a devoted father, and a generous, kind-hearted partner, coworker and friend.
Services will be private, but, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Wheeler’s name to the Hobart Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Cornell Avenue, Hobart 13788.
Eleanor McNaughton Walsh (1928 – 2014)
CHATHAM—Eleanor Walsh, 86, of Chatham, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at her residence.
Born March 18, 1928 in North Bellmore, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor (Sullivan) McNaughton.
She worked at the Bulova Watch Company in New York City before moving to this area when she was 17.
Mrs. Walsh was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and making crafts.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Richard Walsh, who died in 1985.
Mrs. Walsh is survived by: her devoted daughter and son-in-law, Coleen and Jeffrey Steward of Valatie; four loving grandchildren, Jeremy (Janette) Steward of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, Timothy (Chrystal) Walsh of Virginia, Jason (Colleen) Walsh of Valatie, and Amberly Steward of Arlington, Massachusetts, and four great-grandchildren, Adam and Annabelle Steward of Pennsylvania and Grace and Samuel Walsh of Virginia.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her son, Stephen Walsh; her daughter, Judith Walsh; and her siblings.
A calling hour will begin Tuesday, June 10, 2 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson. Services will be conducted by Pastor Stanley Webster at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Mellenville Union Cemetery.
Robert William Terry, Jr. (1955 – 2014)
RHINEBECK—Robert William Terry, Jr., 58, of Germantown died June 2, 2014 at Northern Dutchess Hospital after a seven-month battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born November 23, 1955 in Patterson, New Jersey, to the late Lillian (Hover) and Robert Terry, Sr.
Mr. Terry was employed by Phoenix Electronics, Highland for 32 years.
Survivors include: his wife of 30 years, Nancy (Boor) Terry of Germantown; his daughters, Jamie and Amanda, both of Germantown; his sister, Sandra Williams of Elizaville and her three children.
Services were held Saturday June 7, 2014 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.
Burial followed in the Viewmont Rural Cemetery.
Tony Marks (1958 – 2014)
CLERMONT—Tony Marks, 55, of Clermont passed June 3, 2014 at his home surrounded by family.
Born October 25, 1958 in Heidelberg, Germany, he was the son of the late Norman and Gerda (Berger) Marks.
Mr. Marks owned and operated Tony Marks Trucking and Excavating for 26 years. He enjoyed being creative and excelled mechanically. He also enjoyed spending weekends at his camp with family, friends and his dogs.
In the early 1980s, he drove tour bus for New York Custom Coach of Red Hook. Mr. Marks was a former member of the Clermont Fire Company.
Survivors include: his wife, Pamela Haug Marks; his son, Jake Marks of Clermont; daughter, Morgan Marks of Red Hook; and a sister, Dominique Washock of Troy.
He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Burkhart.
Calling hours were Saturday, June 7 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mr. Marks’ name may be made to the Community Hospice or The Eddy Visiting Nurses, both in Catskill.
