Melvin William Hoysradt (1921 – 2014)
SALISBURY, CT—Melvin William Hoysradt, 93, a 61-year resident of Millerton died peacefully at Noble Horizons in the evening of May 7, 2014.
Mr. Hoysradt worked as a building supervisor at Wassaic Development Center in Wassaic for more than 30 years, retiring in November 1976.
Born April 15, 1921 in Ancramdale, he was the son of the late Albert and Cora (Ingelson) Hoysradt.
Mr. Hoysradt attended school in Ancramdale and served his country honorably in the United States Army Rangers during World War II. He primarily served in the European Theater and received the Bronze Star for meritorious achievement in ground operations. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
On December 29, 1948 in Hudson, he married Helen Wassie. Mrs. Hoysradt survives at home.
Mr. Hoysradt was a life member of American Legion Post #178 in Millerton and the CSEA of New York. He enjoyed farming and helping others. He was an avid hunter and also enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Hoysradt is survived by: his loving sister-in-law, Mary Hoysradt of Millerton; a special niece, Marion Leffingwell of Hudson; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, August Hoysradt and Myrtle Cade and six brothers, Foster, Harmon, Claude, Russell, Lee and James Hoysradt.
Nancy A. Pitcher (1960 – 2014)
HUDSON—Nancy A. Pitcher, 54, of Spook Rock Road, passed away Saturday, May 10 at her residence.
She was born January 15, 1960 in Hudson, a daughter of Gladys Bell of Florida and the late George Bell.
Ms. Pitcher was employed for the past 10 years as a unit secretary with the Whittier Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ghent.
Surviving besides her mother are: her children, Virginia, William and Christine Pitcher, all of Hudson; her grandchildren, Cody and Brianna Pitcher, Joseph Nicoletti and Nicolas Weed; her sister, Susan (Todd) Brightly of Hudson; brothers, Joseph (Karen) Bell and James (Caroline) Bell, both of Florida and her grandmother, Myrtle Adriance also of Florida.
Friends are invited and may call at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22, Copake, Wednesday, May 14 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. A Service of Remembrance begins at 6:30 p.m.

Shauna Marie Izzo (1989 – 2014)
ALBANY–Shauna Marie Izzo, 24, of Columbiaville, joined the angels in Heaven May 9, 2014.
She was born June 2, 1989 to Joseph R. Izzo and Brenda L. (Ingham) Izzo.
Ms. Izzo attended Mildred Elley School for Nursing and worked as a CNA at Barnwell and Whittier Nursing Homes. She had a great passion for helping people and was a free spirit. She saw much of the world in her short life, touching the lives of all she met along the way.
Ms. Izzo is survived by: her father, Joseph R. Izzo and her a brother, Joseph C. Izzo, both of Columbiaville; her mother, Brenda L. Izzo (Craig Ostrander) and her sister, Morgan L. Izzo, all of East Chatham; paternal grandparents, Robert J. Izzo of Hudson and Joanne B. Mason of Riverside, CA; maternal grandparents, Margaret and Richard Ingham of Niverville. She is also survived by two very special girls, Brooke and Olivia and their father Robert Dandridge and many aunts, uncles, cousins and childhood friends, who have remained her best friends through the years.
“She will remain in our hearts forever and never be forgotten by all who loved this beautiful girl.”
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 17, 1 p.m. at the Church of Saint Joseph, Route 9, Stuyvesant Falls with the Reverend Frank O’Connor officiating. There will be no calling hours. Donaldine Berry (1929 – 2014)
GREENPORT—Donaldine S. Berry, 84, of Greenport passed away Saturday, May 10, 2014 at her residence.
Born July 29, 1929 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mary (Wood) Simmons.
She was employed as a pharmacy technician for more than 25 years at Columbia Memorial Hospital. She also worked at Wardell’s Drug Store in Hudson.
Mrs. Berry was a graduate of St. Mary’s Academy. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls and chairperson of the Christian Service Committee, the Columbia Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, the Apple Valley Square Dancers and the Philmont Community Chorus.
She loved playing the violin, singing and performing at nursing homes during the holidays. Mrs. Berry was devoted to her family and enjoyed country line dancing, ballroom dancing, fishing and camping.
Mrs. Berry was predeceased by her beloved husband of 54 years, Raymond E. Berry, who died in 2010.
Surviving are: her devoted children, Donald (Carolyn) Berry of Wexford, Pennsylvania, Renee (Leonard) Ashdown of Stuyvesant Falls, Kyle (Clifford) Beede of Stuyvesant and Andrea (Jeffrey) Seymour of Stockport; her loving grandchildren, Adrienne Berry, Alysse Berry, Haley Ashdown, Hannah Ashdown and Katelyn Seymour; several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 14, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Thursday, May 15, 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls.
Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
