Frances E. Halloran (1915 – 2014)
HUDSON—Frances E. Halloran, 99, of Hudson passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born April 2, 1915 in Brooklyn, she was the daughter of the late Constantine and Valeria (Mayer) Kaczanowcke.
Mrs. Halloran was a homemaker and a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Hudson and enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.
She married Francis J. Halloran in St. Mary’s Church in 1937. They were married for 49 years before his passing in 1986.
Mrs. Halloran is survived by: her devoted sons, Neal Halloran of Greenport and Ronald (Cathy) Halloran of Poughkeepsie; her loving grandchildren, Jennifer Halloran of Poughkeepsie and Ryan (Jill) Halloran of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph, Charles, William, Kustic and Helen K. Novack.
Visiting hours are Wednesday, May 7, 3 to 6 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Prayers will be held Thursday, May 8, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 429 East Allen Street, Hudson.
Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery.
Donations may be made to any local hospice. The family thanks Livingston Hills Nursing Home and Columbia Memorial Hospital’s second floor and fourth floor hospice unit for the special care they gave to Mrs. Halloran.

Dorothy Holsapple (1921 – 2014)
RHINEBECK—Dorothy Holsapple, 93, formerly of Hudson, died Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Northern Dutchess Hospital.
Born in Hudson, January 7, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Frank Burdwin Holsapple and Harriette (Palmer) Holsapple.
She graduated from Hudson High School in the class of 1938 and was later the office manager of the Rockefeller Foundation in Rockefeller Center until her retirement.
She lived in New York City for many years before moving to The Woods in Rhinebeck. She lived at Arbor Ridge in Rhinebeck at the time of her death.
She was active in The Church of St. John in Rhinebeck and previously at Christ Episcopal Church in Hudson. She enjoyed life, including her many friends, the arts, travel, opera and gardening.
She is survived by: her sister-in-law, Louise McKelvey Holsapple of White Plains; a nephew, Peter Livingston Holsapple of Durham, North Carolina; her nieces, Louise Holsapple Westover of New Haven, Connecticut, and Mary Holsapple Sarubbi of Roselle, Illinois.
Ms. Holsapple was predeceased by her three brothers, Henry T. Holsapple, John L. Holsapple and Frank B. Holsapple.
A memorial service will be held Friday, May 9, 2014, 4 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.

Anthony F. Pazera (1920 – 2014)
PHOENIX, AZ—Anthony F. Pazera, 92, of Phoenix AZ, formerly of Hudson and Deland, FL, died Thursday, May 1 at his home.
Born May 1, 1920 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Anthony and Anna (Rekalitis) Pazera.
Mr. Pazera was a veteran of World War II, who served with the U.S. Army in the Central Europe and Rhineland Theater operations. After the war, he was an ironworker with Union Local 12 until his retirement.
He is survived by his great-nephew and Godson, Joseph and (Trisha) Markowitz; granddaughter, Morgan Pazera and dear friend, Jane Markowitz.
Mr. Pazera was predeceased by his wife, Gloria Pazera in 2011, as well as his twin sons, John and Joseph and several brothers and sisters.
A calling hour will be held Friday, May 9 from 11 a.m. to noon at the Sacco-McDonald-Valenti Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport. Services will follow at noon with the Reverend Ken Coddington officiating.
Burial with military honors will conclude in Cedar Park Cemetery.
Robert C. Cunningham (1953 – 2014)
HUDSON—Robert “Bob” C. Cunningham, 60, of Ghent, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born September 1, 1953 in Brooklyn, he was the son of the late Williard and Elimina (Thompson) Cunningham. He was raised in Brooklyn and at age 13 moved to Columbia County, where he resided the rest of his life.
On June 6, 1981, he married Lucia “Luci” Fiorentino at the First Baptist Church in Hudson.
Mr. Cunningham was a devoted family man and dedicated to his family. He had a great sense of humor that his family and friends enjoyed. He was a member of the Stottville Fire Department and loved being outdoors. He was an avid New England Patriots fan.
He was employed by the New York State Thruway in Canaan in the road maintenance department before retiring.
Mr. Cunningham is survived by: his beloved wife, Luci; his devoted daughters, Jessica (Jason) Kastner and Ashley Cunningham (fiancé, Rob Donaghue) and his adored grandson and “partner in crime,” Akiah Cunningham, with whom he spent a great deal of his time. Also surviving are his loving siblings, Freddy (Ady), Barbara, Billy (Kathy), Linda, Ronnie, Glen, and Pattie (David); his in-laws, Agostino and Concetta Fiorentino, and several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are Thursday, May 8, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Services will be conducted Friday, May 9, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
