William C. Visscher (1954 – 2014)

VALATIE—William C. Visscher, 59, of Valatie passed away at his home, Sunday, January 26, 2014.

Born April 19, 1954 in Albany, he was the son of the late Clarence and Winifred (Enselein) Visscher.

Mr. Visscher was a self-employed carpenter and woodworker for almost 30 years, before serving as supervisor of buildings and grounds for both Questar III and the Chatham Central School District.

He was also an artist, avid cook, music lover and a diehard New York Mets fan. Mr. Visscher designed and built many sets for the Ghent Playhouse.

He will be remembered as a loving and supportive husband and father to his family.

He is survived by: his wife, Cathy (Lee) Visscher; daughter, Caitlin Visscher of Schenectady; son, Logan Visscher of Hudson; several nieces and nephews.

There will be a small private service for the family.

Calling hours for friends will be held at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie, Saturday, February 15 from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a memorial service.
