Joanne B. Clark (1940 – 2014)
ALBANY—Joanne B. Clark, 73, of North Chatham passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Sunday, January 12, 2014 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
Born June 20, 1940 in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Grimaldi) Baldino.
Mrs. Clark was the librarian of records and retention for First Niagara Bank, formerly Hudson River Bank and Trust in Hudson. She was a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandmother and friend to many.
She is survived by: two daughters, Meredith Clark of North Chatham and Sherry Clark Klinebaum of Chatham; one son, Gerald Swinehart of North Chatham; a sister, Sally Baldino Falquero of Norwalk, CT; a brother, John Baldino of Chatham; five grandchildren, Anthony Clark Padula, Marissa Swinehart, Skylin Baestlein, Joseph and Sophia Swinehart; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Walter C. Clark of Albany.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, January 15, 9 a.m. at St. James Church, Chatham, with the Reverend Gary Gelfenbein officiating. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery. Calling hours will be Tuesday, January 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. Edward E. Pytel (1925 – 2014)
ALBANY—Edward E. Pytel, 88, of Valatie died Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at the Albany Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center.
Mr. Pytel was born December 5, 1925 in Rhode Island.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He worked for Amtrak in Rensselaer as a general foreman and was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie.
He is survived by: one daughter, Diane Parenteau of Lincoln, RI; a son, Bruce Pytel of Cairo; a sister, Jane; four grandchildren, Matthew and Jennifer Parenteau and Gregory and Kevin Pytel.
He was predeceased by his wife, Irene Pytel; a sister, Dottie and a brother, John.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, January 17, 9:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Route 9, Valatie, with the Reverend Gary Gelfenbein officiating. Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Calling hours will be Thursday, January 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, 1015 Kinderhook Street, Valatie. Edward A. Wadsworth (1928 – 2014)
NEW LEBANON—Edward A. Wadsworth, 85, of New Lebanon died Sunday, January 12 at home.
Born December 8, 1928 in Kinderhook, he was the son of the late Jarard D. and Mildred (Tiffany) Wadsworth.
He was a Navy veteran who served on the U.S.S. Gainard during the Korean Conflict. He held memberships in both the VFW and American Legion. He was a member of the Teamsters Local 294.
An avid hunter and fisherman, he was a charter member of the Kinderhook Sportsmen’s Club. He played baseball, basketball, horseshoes and bowling. He loved horseracing, owned several horses, and was a member of the Yankee Quarterhorse Racing Association.
Predeceased by his sister, Dorothy Stever, and brother, Gordon Wadsworth, he is survived by: his four children, Lori Wood, Connie (Harry) Redgrave, Douglas (Mary Ellen) Wadsworth and Leland (Vicki) Wadsworth; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Wenk Funeral Home, 21 Payn Avenue, Chatham.
