Scott A. Fenoff (1973 – 2013)

GREENPORT—Scott A. Fenoff, 40, of Livingston, died Friday, December 27, 2013 in Greenport from injuries suffered in an automobile accident.

Born April 6, 1973 in Hudson, he was the son of the late Joy and Eugene Fenoff, Sr.

Mr. Fenoff was a landscaper with Curt Turner Landscaping.

“He was a dedicated brother and a fabulous uncle to all of his nieces and nephews. He was a fun-loving kid and never wanted to grow up, and a heck of a guy. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.”

Mr. Fenoff was the beloved brother of Willie Fenoff (Cathy) of TN, Carol Sax of CA, Kathy Way (John) of WI, Cheryl Ellington (Mark) of FL, Renee Chin (Troy) of FL, Jean Adele Howard (Timothy) of Hudson and Eugene Fenoff, Jr., (fiancée Crystal) of SC. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother, Carl Fenoff.

A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Marilyn Mae Fosby (1932 – 2013)

CHATHAM—Marilyn Mae Fosby of Chatham passed away peacefully, December 27, 2013 at home.

Born in Hudson December 21, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Spencer and Dorothy Tompkins Traver.

A lifelong resident of Chatham, Mrs. Fosby was a graduate of Chatham High School. During and after school she worked at B.H. Delson’s and later worked for the A&P. After the A&P closed, Mrs. Fosby worked as a title clerk at Village Dodge for 10 years until she retired.

Mrs. Fosby was a member and past secretary of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Chatham Fire Department and a member and past secretary of the Chatham Rural Cemetery Association.

She loved travelling, camping and monthly dinners with her alumni. She enjoyed cooking and flowers. Mrs. Fosby looked forward to her winters in Florida. She was a very loving person who liked things neat especially her hair.

Mrs. Fosby is survived by her husband of 62 years, Richard Fosby, Sr.; her sons, Richard, Jr., (Joann) and Robert (Bobbie Jo) Fosby; her sisters, Dorothea Wheeler, Barbara (Rocky) Sirani and Beth Barber; her brother, George Traver; 14 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brother, Charles Traver.

Calling hours will be held Monday, December 30 at the French, Gifford, Preiter & Blasl Funeral Home, Chatham, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 31 at the funeral home at 11 a.m., gather at 10:30.

Gladys S. Tetro (1929 – 2013)

HUDSON—Gladys S. Tetro, 83, of Germantown, a lifelong area resident, passed away suddenly Friday, December 27, 2013 at the Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born December 31, 1929, in Rhinebeck, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Emma (Scism) Van Wagner.

She married Gordon Tetro August 21, 1963 at Christ Church in Red Hook. He predeceased her September 16, 2012.

For a number of years, Mrs. Terto worked at Bard College. But the largest portion of her life was devoted to raising her family. She took great joy and pride in spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.

She is survived by: her loving children, Kathleen and John Hogan of Hudson Falls, Linda and Donald Hogan of Elizaville, Bonnie and Joseph DeWald of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Pamela and James Stagias of Elizaville, Teresa Tetro of Germantown, Gordon Tetro, Jr., of Hudson Falls, Michael and Debra Tetro of Germantown and Scott and Heidi Tetro of Stone Ridge; a sister, Catherine Marshall of Tivoli; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; many nieces and nephews; countless extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband, she is predeceased by a daughter, Sharon Lee McCloskey (2005); two brothers, James and Ralph Van Wagner and a sister, Carrie DeWitt.

Friends may call at the Burnett and White Funeral Homes, Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Burnett & White Funeral Homes, Red Hook. The Reverend Fred C. Cartier will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery, Red Hook.

Arrangements are under the direction of Burnett & White Funeral Homes 7461 South Broadway, Red Hook.

David F. Moore (1942 – 2013)

STANDFORDVILLE—David F. Moore, 71, of Standfordville passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at home.

He was born June 25, 1942 in Albany, the son of the late Everett and Marion (Lanfear) Moore.

Mr. Moore was owner and operator of Record City in Poughkeepsie.

On March 16, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV, he married Priscilla (Ford) Moore. She survives him along with: his two daughters, Cindy McSharar and her husband Thomas of Stony Point; Samantha Moore of Stanfordville; three sons, James Moore of Stony Point, Conner Moore of Stanfordville, Matthew Czernik of Lake Peekskill; a brother, Christopher Moore of Chatham; grandson, James Moore of Florida.

A funeral service was held Saturday, December 28, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, South Main Street, Pine Plains.

Interment followed in the Ghent Union Cemetery.

Nelson F. Myers (1946 – 2013)

LIVINGSTON—Nelson F. Myers, 67, of Livingston died suddenly December 27, 2013 at his home.

Born September 8, 1946 in Milan, he was the son of the late William and Wanda (O’Dell) Myers.

He was a self-employed painter who enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports.

Survivors include: his wife, Kathleen (Kate) Pettinger Myers; two sons, Nelson, II, of Copake and Darrell of Chatham; two daughters, Danielle Myers of Livingston and Angel Myers of Chatham; a sister, Irene Moore of Red Hook and six grandchildren.

He was predeceased by: his son, William Jesse Myers, who died October 5, 1984 at the age of 4; a brother, William Myers and two sisters, Mary Miller and Shirley Day.

A celebration of his life will be held 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.

The family request donations be made to a charity of one’s choice.
