Harry Luedemann (1922 – 2013)
HUDSON—Harry Luedemann, 91, of East Taghkanic died peacefully surrounded by family, December 22, 2013 of pneumonia.
He was born September 16, 1922 in Hamburg, Germany. He married Elsa (Truschinskis) December 22, 1945. He came to this country to make a better life for his family. He and his wife were superintendents of an apartment building. Additionally, Mr. Luedemann was a maintenance worker in Manhattan.
They retired to Warwick. Mr. Luedemann moved to East Taghkanic in 1998, several years after his wife’s passing. All his life he had a strong love for dogs, especially his last dog, Dixie, a miniature German schnauzer, who predeceased him. Mr. Luedemann lived on his own until his death. He had a long and healthy life.
He is survived by: his daughters, Jutta Rodio (Matty) of Ronkonkoma and Renée Nostrand (Paul) of East Taghkanic; granddaughters, Dawn Lorello (Joey) of Ronkonkoma and Kara Desiderio of Brooklyn and great-grandson, Vincent Lorello of Ronkonkoma. He was predeceased by his wife, Elsa and his granddaughter, Kim Rodio of Ronkonkoma.
Mr. Luedeman’s ashes will be buried at the Warwick Cemetery where his wife and mother are buried in the spring at the convenience of the family.

Gerald “Judd” Hilton (1928 – 2013)
STOCKPORT—Gerald “Judd” Hilton, 85, of Stockport, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born April 24, 1928 in Stockport, he was the son of the late Samuel and Eva (Jansen) Hilton.
He served in the U.S. Navy from 1946 to 1948. He was a machinist with the Lorbrook Corporation for more than 40 years.
He was a life member of the Stockport Fire Company and loved boating and his summer camp on the Stockport Creek.
Mr. Hilton is survived by: two sons, Alfred (Jane) Hilton and Dale (Lori) Hilton, both of Hudson; three granddaughters, Jill Hilton, Anna Delaney and Rochelle Hilton; his great-grandchildren; his brother, James Hilton of Clarksburg, TN; his sister, Betty Fahs of Ghent; his companion, Janice Seagrott of Ghent; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Anna (Gillis) Hilton; his son, Bruce Hilton; his brothers, Paul, Donald and Robert; his sisters, Esther, Eleanor, Virginia and Joan.
Services were conducted Saturday, December 28 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson. Interment will be in Stuyvesant Falls Cemetery. Visit www.batesanderson.com to leave condolences.
James A. Lentz, Sr. (1942 – 2013)
HUDSON—James A. Lentz, Sr., 71, of Palatine Manor in Germantown died Thursday, December 26, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born in Peekskill, March 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Mildred and William Lentz, Sr.
Mr. Lentz served in the U.S. Army from 1962 to 1964. He worked as a farm hand on several area horse farms and was a former truck driver. His interests include golfing, jigsaw puzzles and playing the organ.
He is survived by: three children, Janet (Timothy) Spaulding of Craryville, James A. Lentz, Jr., of Hudson, and Christine (Jeffrey) Kritzman of Stockport; three grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by four brothers, Richard, William, Jr., Delbert and Thomas, and three sisters, Mildred, Doris and Ruth.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Bates & Anderson – Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson.
