William S. Everts (1947- 2013)
HUDSON—William S. Everts, 66, died November 1, 2013.
He was born January 5 1947 to the late Alene and John Everts in Hudson.
At a young age, he joined the Army and served in both Vietnam and Germany. Mr. Everts met and married his love, Ria Willis in 1987.
He is survived by: his loving wife; three children, Samantha, Joseph and Mackenzie.
Mr. Everts loved life and wanted to see it all and from every angle. He traveled the world and had adventures everywhere, from skydiving to race car driving, even flying, building an airplane and restoring a race car.
He was an artist who captured his love of life through the lens of his ever-present camera. Mr. Everts loved to give to people and was never happier than when he was giving to someone he loved.
In lieu of flowers his family asks that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Robert R. Farley (1934 – 2013)
HUDSON—Robert R. Farley, 79, of Stockport died November 3, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Born September 10, 1934 in Nyack, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Burns) Farley.
Prior to his moving to the area, he worked as a bartender in New Jersey for many years. He volunteered for Columbia-Greene Community Hospice for 12 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Valerie; four sons, John of Florida, Michael of Buffalo, Patrick of Claverack and Timothy of Valatie; two daughters, Kathleen of Red Hook and Maureen of CT; one sister, Patricia Judge of PA; 15 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 8 at the Yadack Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Saturday, November 9 from the funeral home and 10 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Parish (Church of the Resurrection of Germantown), where a Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated.
Interment will follow in the Linlithgo Rural Cemetery.

Felix “Phil” Salvatore
HUDSON—Felix “Phil” Salvatore, 61, of Hudson, son of the late Joseph Salvatore, Sr., and Delores Shook died November 4, 2013 at Columbia Memorial Hospital surrounded by his family after a brief battle with cancer. He was a member of the Phoenix Hose Co. #5 for more than 31 years.
Survivors include: his son, Philip Salvatore (Amy); his step-children, April Wagoner (Bubba), Kim Harman (Kevin) and Al Schulze (Rebecca); siblings, Joseph Salvatore, Jr., (Sherry), Michael Salvatore and Eileen Salvatore; grandchildren, Mykal Wagoner, Nathaniel and Sebastian Harman, Maria Schulz; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown, Thursday, November 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. with services at 7 p.m.
A celebration of Mr. Salvatore’s life will be held at the Germantown firehouse, Saturday, November 9 at 2 p.m.
Donald P. Tomlin (1964 – 2013)
LIVINGSTON—Donald P. Tomlin, 49, of Livingston died suddenly Wednesday, October 30, 2013.
He was born January 22, 1964 in Hudson, the son of the late Ralph and Carrie (Poucher) Tomlin.
In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Tomlin.
Mr. Tomlin had his own lawn care and landscaping business, and was employed by the Red Hook School District.
He was a past fire chief of the Livingston Fire Company.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, antique cars and car shows.
Surviving are: his two daughters, Jenna and Kara Tomlin; his brother, David and fiancée Lori Rockefeller; his step-children, David and his wife MezMarie, Shaun, Stephanie and Andrea, and his beloved pets, Mack, Maple and Mickey.
In keeping with Mr. Tomlin’s wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held at the convenience of his family.
Arrangements are with the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.

Nyra Sartori (1920 – 2013)
GHENT—Nyra Rossman Sartori died October 28, 2013 at Whittier Rehabilitation Center.
Born January 20, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Dewitt and Florence (Hapeman) Rossman, and the proud niece of local baseball legend Claude Rossman, who played in two World Series with Ty Cobb and the Detroit Tigers.
She was predeceased by her husband, Austin Constantine Sartori and her sister, Alice Johnson.
She is survived by a daughter, Polly Jane Sartori (Sheehy); a son, Theron Anthony Sartori and a brother, Kent R. Rossman.
Mrs. Sartori graduated from Philmont High School in 1937 as the valedictorian. She attended Albany Business College in the late 1930s and worked at the offices of the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in New York City in the 1940s. A pioneering “career woman” she often commented that her New York City experience was the best time of her life. After returning to Columbia County, she worked in the County Clerk’s office and Probation Department in Hudson and later at various state agencies in Albany.
Following a private family ceremony, interment will be at the Mellenville Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Columbia-Greene Humane Society, 125 Humane Society Road, Hudson 12534.
