Michael Edward Limoges (1979 – 2013)
GHENT—Michael Edward Limoges, 33, of County Route 21C, Ghent, and a former resident of Millerton, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 22, 2013 at his residence
He was born March 8, 1979 in Sharon, CT.
Mr. Limoges held his CDL license and was formerly employed as a laborer with the New York State Department of Transportation at their Martindale complex.
He was an avid outdoorsmen and hunter and enjoyed watching NASCAR. Mr. Limoges was also a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post in Millerton for seven years.
On June 20, 2009 in Philmont, he married Jenna L. (Moore) Limoges who survives him at home.
Surviving besides his wife is: his son, Landyn Michael Limoges at home in Ghent; his mother, Donna Carman of Millerton; his siblings, Shelly Kaye (Chris) of New Jersey, Paul Limoges of Millerton and Amber Limoges of Albany; his maternal grandmother, Ethel LaMere of Millerton; his in-laws, Bonnie and Larry Ingham of Ghent; his brother-in-law, Jeremy Moore (Jennifer Valden) of Copake; sister-in-law, Janelle Oare (Matthew) of Glen; his nieces and nephews, Hannah Waldorf-Moore, Killian Waldorf-Moore, Mason Moore, Abigal Kaye and Gavin Kaye; also many aunts, uncles, cousins and devoted friends.
He was predeceased by a son, Michael Parker Limoges; grandfather, Frances W. LaMere and a niece, Skylar Waldorf.
Friends are invited and may call Tuesday February 26, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22, Copake. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. Kenneth Coddington will officiate.
Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains.
Friends are invited to join the family immediately following the interment at the Copake Memorial Park Building.

Stanley “Skip” Hallenbeck (1922 – 2013)
CLAVERACK—Stanley “Skip” Hallenbeck, 90, of Claverack died Monday, February 25 at home.
He was born June 10, 1922 in Hudson, the son of the late Charles and Lillie (Riddle) Hallenbeck.
He was predeceased by his brothers, Clifford and Arthur, and his sister, Josephine Kelly Wilson.
He graduated from Hudson High School and was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Coast Guard in both the American and European Theaters.
Mr. Hallenbeck was a member of the greater consistory of the First Reformed Church of Hudson, a life member of the Hudson Elks Club (BPOE 787), past president and life member of the Hudson Hook and Ladder Fire Company, and a life member of the Kalicoontie Rod and Gun Club, where he served as secretary for more than 30 years. He was also a member of the Federation of Polish Sportsmen, the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Claverack Senior Citizens.
He retired in 1987 from the New York State Education Department, Bureau of Publications.
Survivors include: his wife of 62 years, Alice; his daughter, Elaine (Dan) Kline of Valatie; his son, Bruce (Rosemary) Hallenbeck of Kinderhook; four grandchildren, Christopher Kline of Berlin, Germany, Emily Kline of Richmond, Virginia, Eric Hallenbeck of Brooklyn and Annemarie Hallenbeck of East Greenbush; several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at noon, Thursday, February 28 at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson.
Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 27 at the funeral home.

Nancy L. Bryant (1941 – 2013)
TROY—Nancy L. Bryant, 71, of Valatie passed away Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Mary’s Hospital.
Born June 19, 1941 in Norwalk, CT, she was the daughter of the late Leroy Elwell and Ida (Hall) Brown and the wife of the late Hugh E. (Nip) Bryant.
She was a graduate of the Ichabod Crane School District in Valatie. She gave 32 years of dedicated service to the Village of Valatie most recently as trustee. She was loved by all who knew her and was a second mother to many. She will be greatly missed.
Mrs. Bryant is survived by: one daughter, Margaret M. (Michele Nead) Bryant of Valatie; three sons, Jeffrey Bryant of Hudson, John M. Bryant of Valatie and Anthony F. Bryant of Valatie; a sister, Linda Brown Dymond of New Lebanon; three sisters-in-law, Shirley Navom and Betty Cozzolino, both of Chatham and Valera Molnar of Hudson; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was also predeceased by a sister-in-law, Mildred Rotina.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 2, 2013, 3 p.m. at the Martin H. Glynn School in Valatie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Valatie Community Theatre.

Arlene Schmidt (1947 – 2013)
GHENT—Arlene Schmidt, age 66, of Ghent passed away Monday, February 25, 2013 at her home.
Born January 9, 1947 in Hudson, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred Adams and the wife of Hermann K. Schmidt of Ghent.
Before her retirement, she was a nurse’s aide at the Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie. She was a loving mother, grandmother, wife and friend.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Schmidt is also survived by: two sons, Michael Hermann Schmidt of Hollowville and Erich Keith Schmidt of Niverville; one daughter, Heidi Rebecca Cottini of Hillsdale; five grandchildren, Savannah, Alex and Ryan Schmidt and Amy and Adam Cottini.
Calling hours will be Thursday, February 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 1, 11 a.m. at the West Ghent Reformed Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the charity of one’s choice.
