Walter Schneider (1936 – 2012)
HUDSON—Walter “Chippy” Schneider, 76, of Linlithgo died Saturday September 1, 2012 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born April 6, 1936 in Brewster, he was the son of the late Erwin and Lillian (Nelson) Schneider.
Before his retirement, he was the caretaker for the Lightening Tree Farm in Millbrook for many years.
Mr. Schneider was an avid deer hunter and ice fisherman. He collected and enjoyed HO Scale Trains.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Germantown.
From 1954 to 1958, he served with the U.S. Navy and was an active member of the Jennings Willet American Legion Post in Germantown.
Surviving are: his wife Jean Armstrong Schneider, who he married October 11, 1958 in Brewster; a son, Walter P. Schneider of Clermont; daughter, Pam Moyers of Knoxville, TN; brothers, George of Pawling, Edward of Patterson, John of NC; sister, Martha Shook of Fishkill; seven grandchildren, James Schneider, Steven Schneider, Alex Braidt, Nicholas Braidt, Kyle Martin, Jacob Martin and Austin Woodin.
He was predeceased by brothers, Nelson and Robert and sister, Alice Kemp.
Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, September 4 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown. Members of the Jennings Willet American Legion will hold services at 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5 at the funeral home followed by full military honors provided by Jennings Willet American Legion at the Linlithgo Rural Cemetery in Linlithgo.

Wilhelmina Yadack (1913 – 2012)
BOCA RATON, FL—Wilhelmina (Billie) Yadack, 98, passed away peacefully, September 2, 2012 at the Regents Park Nursing Home.
She was born September 23, 1913 in Saugerties, the daughter of Anthony and Mary Rinaldi.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree cum laude at the age of 19 from The College of St. Rose in Albany. She was predeceased by her husband Peter Yadack, whom she was married on June 26, 1938. Mrs. Yadack was a teacher in the Catskill Central School and the Hudson City School districts for more than 36 years. She taught everything from kindergarten through high school. Her positive and happy outlook on life inspired all who came in contact with her throughout her life.
After retiring from teaching, Mrs. Yadack and her husband, Peter, who owned the Yadack Funeral Home in Germantown, also retired and moved to Boca Raton to be close to their only daughter, Nancy Sarazen and their three grandchildren, Gene Sarazen, III, Susan Lynn Sarazen and Geoffrey Sarazen.
Mrs. Yadack wasn’t done with working, she got her real estate license and went to work for Portner and Portner Real Estate. She earned rewards for top salesman of the month, month after month. Following her career as a realtor, she started a new venture preparing special dishes in the employee cafeteria in Burdines Department Store, where she was known for her very special rice pudding.
In the years that followed the unexpected death of her husband, Peter, she was able to again find longterm companionship and love with George Snow, Sr. and together they traveled and enjoyed life for 17 years until his death. They were at the top of many party lists because they were so full of life and fun to be around.
A severe stroke ultimately caused Mrs. Yadack to become a resident at Regents Park Nursing Home in Boca Raton. But with her bubbly, happy go lucky personality, she became the Welcome Wagon lady to new residents of the nursing home. Riding around in her scooter, she would welcome new residents with a small gift and a welcome chat to put them at ease about their new home. She became the longest resident ever there, living at Regents for 17 and a half years before her death.
Mrs. Yadack was predeceased by her brothers, Bernard, Gene, Vincent, and David and Anthony and a sister, Mary.
She is survived by: her sister, Virginia Worby of California; her daughter, Nancy Sarazen; grandchildren, Gene Sarazen, III, and his wife, Heather, Susan Sarazen Bamdas and her husband, David and Geoffrey Sarazen and his wife, Chalise; four great grandchildren, Tyler Bamdas, Britt Sarazen, Bryce Sarazen and Mary Landis Sarazen; many nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews, all of who will miss her so much.
Arrangements for her memorial service are being handled by the Glick Family Funeral Home in Boca Raton, Florida. Jennie Bailey (1949 – 2012)
NIVERVILLE—Jennie M. Bailey, 63, of Niverville, passed away Monday, September 3, 2012 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Born April 9, 1949 in Little Falls, she was the daughter of Chauncey F. and Violet (McAdams) Clapper.
Mrs. Bailey was employed in the human resources department at Hannaford in Schodack. She also was a pharmacy technician. She enjoyed visiting yard sales and flea markets, shopping, going to the casinos and spending time with her family. Her family was her life, especially her grandchildren and great-grandson.
Surviving are: her devoted husband, William Robert Bailey, Sr. of Niverville; her daughter, Bobbie Jo (Adrian) Aguilar of Colima, Mexico; her son, William Robert (Sarah Jane) Bailey, Jr. of Niverville; five grandchildren, Vernon (Samantha) D. Doyle, III, Adriana Del Carmae Aguilar and William Austin, Edward Stanton and Robert Joseph Bailey; a great-grandson, Jackson David Doyle; four brothers, Theodore, Alan, Larry and Vaughn Clapper; her sister, Joan Royko; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her brother, Chauncey.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday, September 6 at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, Hudson.
Services will be conducted at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Elizabeth Larm (1934 – 2012)
ALBANY—Elizabeth Ann “Bettyann” Larm, 78, of Niverville died August 29, 2012 at St. Peter’s Hospital.
She was born February 26, 1934 in Yonkers, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna T. (Coyle) Short.
Mrs. Larm graduated from Blessed Sacrament High School in Yonkers and worked as an LPN at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Tarrytown and Andrus Adult Home in Hastings. She was a member and former secretary of the Tri-Village Senior Citizens, a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie, a member of St. John’s Elves and the Red Hats.
She is survived by: three sons, Kenneth P. Larm (Marianne) of Brewster, Richard P. Larm (Cindy) of Niverville and James M. Larm (Tara) of Niverville; two sisters, Mary Hurlie of Southbury, CT and Teresa Murphy of Seaford; a brother, William Short of Ridgefield, CT; six grandchildren, Thomas C., Nikole and Michael of Brewster, Christopher, James and Brandon of Niverville; 25 loving nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles T. Larm and her oldest son, Thomas C. Larm.
A mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, September 4 at Our Lady of Pompeii Church in Dobbs Ferry. Burial was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St Peter’s Hospice, 315 South Manning Boulevard, Albany 12208.
