Madelene Buccos, 72, mother, liked puzzles
GHENT—Madelene Buccos, 72, of Claverack died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Whittier Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center.
Born February 2, 1940 in New York City, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Alice (Well) Glackin.
A loving mother and grandmother, Ms. Buccos enjoyed jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
Survivors include: a son, James Buccos of NJ; two daughters, Donna Ely of Claverack and Jean Kulynych of PA; two brothers, Harry Glackin of Tapin and Michael Glackin of Utah; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by two sons, Daniel and Richard Buccos; brothers, George and Martin Glackin and a sister, Dorothy Volekas.
A celebration of Ms. Bucco’s life was held Wednesday, March 7 at the Yadack-Fox Funeral Home in Germantown.

William C. Lundquest, Jr., 66, publisher, liked to canoe
STUYVESANT—William C. Lundquest, Jr., 66, of Stuyvesant passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2012 following a long, courageous battle with colon cancer with his loving family by his side.
Born in Endicott, January 6, 1946, he was the son of the late William C. and Margaret (Kelley) Lundquest, Sr.
Most of Mr. Lundquest’s working life, and that of his father’s, was dedicated to the newspaper industry. From sweeping composing room floors, driving circulation vans and selling advertising, to ad manager, ad director, general manager and publisher/president/owner. Most of that time was spent with Dow Jones Community Newspapers. In 1997, Mr. Lundquest started the Hudson River Sampler in Dutchess County, which grew into two monthly newspapers, one in Dutchess County and the other in Columbia County, with a current total circulation of 46,200 copies.
The family plans to continue both monthly operations.
Mr. Lundquest was involved with many service clubs professionally and personally throughout the years. During his leisure time, he enjoyed many water sports. He was especially fond of canoeing. Camping was another activity he and his family enjoyed together.
He is survived by his wife of 41 1/2 years, Joan A. (Morrow) Lundquest of Stuyvesant; a daughter, Lisa L. Lundquest of Albany; a son, Gregory C. Lundquest of Stuyvesant and one brother, Jon C. Lundquest of West Dennis, MA.
He was predeceased by a brother and a sister, James W. Lundquest and Mary Ann Lundquest Abraham.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 9, 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie, with the Reverend Andrew Smith officiating.
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Relatives and friends may call Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to The Community Hospice of Columbia/Greene, 47 Liberty Street, Catskill 12414.
