Sandra Rothrock, 68, homemaker, loved horses
NEW LEBANON—Sandra Furcinite Rothrock, 68, of 1005 Route 20, New Lebanon died January 24 at her home after a long courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Pittsfield, MA, February 28, 1943, the daughter of the late Joseph and Bernice LaPointe Furcinite.
She was a resident of New Lebanon most of her life and a graduate of New Lebanon High School Class of 1960.
Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Rothrock enjoyed knitting, crocheting and loved working with horses.
She was a devout Catholic and a communicant of St. Charles Church in Pittsfield.
Survivors include her husband, John Rothrock, whom she married July 1, 1961 in New Lebanon; one son, Steven (Kathy) Rothrock of Sprakers; two daughters, Stacey (Tod) Rothrock Wallace of New Lebanon and Rebecca Gail Rothrock of Pittsfield; one sister, Terri (Richard) Durlack of New Lebanon; one brother, Joseph (Jane) Furcinite of CA; and 12 grandchildren.
Mrs. Rothrock was predeceased by her sister, Beverly Engel.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Friday January 27, 2012, 10 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by the Reverend A. Peter Gregory,
Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be at the Dwyer Funeral Home, Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 4 to 7 p.m.

William Oelkers, Jr., 88, WWII vet, telephone co. supervisor
CLEARWATER, FL—William T. Oelkers, Jr., 88, of Rossman Road, Stuyvesant died Sunday January 22, 2012 in Clearwater, FL.
Born in Akron, OH, April 6, 1923, he was the son of the late William T. and Charlotte (Praet) Oelkers, Sr.
Mr. Oelkers was a World War II veteran, having served in the US Navy. He was a cable maintenance supervisor for New Jersey Bell Telephone, retiring in 1985. He was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church in Stuyvesant Falls and was involved with the Boy Scouts of America in New Jersey for 45 years. He was also a member of the Telephone Pioneers and a part-time winter resident of St. Petersburgh, FL.
Mr. Oelkers is survived by: two daughters, Leanne Sparks of Valrico, FL and Dale Buckler of North Wales, PA; a son, William T. Oelkers, III, of Rossman; a brother, Kenneth Oelkers of Kinderhook; four grandchildren, Michael and Rebecca Buckler, William T. Oelkers, IV, Anisa Oelkers and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Gladys Oelkers, and two sisters, Dorothy Ibert and Clotilda Horner.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2 p.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Stuyvesant Falls with the Reverend James Slater officiating. Interment will follow in Stuyvesant Falls Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call Friday, January 27 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church.
Mary Jane Beaucage, 85, family oriented, church communicant
VALATIE—Mary Jane Beaucage, 85, of Kinderhook passed away, Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Barnwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, with her devoted, loving companion Frank Doleski at her side.
She was born and raised in Kinderhook and was a lifelong resident of Wallace Road.
She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Helen (Block) Holsapple.
Ms. Beaucage was truly family oriented. She took great pride and admiration in the lives of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were all the love of her life.
She served the community of which she was so proud to be a resident. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie, where she was actively involved with St. John’s Elves, the Bereavement Committee, assisted with baptisms and communion and served communion to residents of Barnwell up until she became a resident there due to a debilitating stroke, which took all of her freedoms from her.
She was formerly employed at Ichabod Crane’s High School cafeteria and could also be found greeting people at the voting machine during district budget votes or cheering on her grandchildren from the bleachers or fields. She was one of the original Kinderhook Lady Walkers.
She is survived by: her loving children, Joseph H. Beaucage, III, Linda C. Beaucage (Michael), Kathi (Kate) A. Austin (Al) and Brenda Martines (Bob); 10 adoring grandchildren, Leigh Ann, Renee, Michael, Shannon, Dennis, Jasen, Bud, Katee, Tim and Branden; nine special great-grandchildren and devoted, loving companion, Frank Doleski.
She was predeceased by: her husband, Joseph H. Beaucage, Jr.; son, Timothy W. Beaucage, Sr.; sister, Alice Oles and brothers, Clifford and Kenneth Holsapple.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, January 28, 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Route 9, Valatie. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery in Ghent. Calling hours will be Friday, January 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie. Donations may be made to the Tim Beaucage Memorial Christmas Run, P.O.
