Irving Haight, 69, coach, IBM technician
POUGHKEEPSIE—Irving Paul Haight , Sr., 69, of Stanfordville passed away Sunday, May 15, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
He was born in Poughkeepsie, February 21, 1942, the son of the late Paul and Thelma (Coffin) Haight.
Mr. Haight coached the Twins Little League team for many years. He was also inducted on the Wall of Fame in Pine Plains. He was a technician for IBM in East Fishkill.
Survivors include: three sons, Christopher Haight of Hyde Park, Thomas Haight of Stanfordville, Irving Paul Haight, Jr. of New York; a daughter, Catherine Stehman of Lawrence, KS; a step-son, Mark Burns of Elizaville; a brother, Eric Haight of Clinton Corners; four grandchildren, Tyler O’Dell, Nick, Ben and Claire Stehman.
There are no calling hours.
A memorial service was held Saturday, May 21 at the United Church of Christ with the Reverend Rhonda Starzyk, officiating.
Interment will be private.

William Woodward, Jr., letter carrier, WWII vet
HUDSON—William P. Woodward, Jr., of Columbiaville and later of the Firemen’s Home, became an angel May 5, 2011 and joined his wife, Phyllis (Adriance) Woodward in Heaven.
He died at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents, Mabel (Hall) and William Woodward, and two brothers, John and Richard Woodward.
Surviving are his brother, Ralph Woodward of Olympia, WA; his children, Pamela (Thomas) Mate, Peter (Corrine) Woodward and Timothy (Karen) Woodward; six grandchildren, Linda (Thomas) Bloss, Shane (Margret), Caitlin (Eric), Colin (Sydney), Steven and Elizabeth Woodward.
Mr. Woodward was a member of the Stockport Fire Company, VFW Post #9593, American Legion Post #184, plus several support organizations. He worked for the Coca-Cola Company for 17 years and the Hudson Post Office as a rural letter carrier, retiring in 1982. He served with the US Navy during World War II with the Blimp Hendron One Detachment 24.
Services were held May 21 with a Navy Honor Guard and flag presentation.

Helen Hradsky, 89, enjoyed family, gardening
LIVINGSTON—Helen Elizabeth (Ferjanec) Hradsky, 89, of Livingston passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Livingston Hills Nursing Home.
Born August 18, 1921 in Little Falls, Herkimer County, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Christine Ferjanec.
Mrs. Hradsky was a devoted wife, mother, sister and aunt. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening and cooking. She was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and the altar committee.
She was the beloved mother of David (Ann) Hradsky of Ashtabula, OH and Elizabeth Hradsky Schwartz of West Hollywood, CA and loving sister of Mildred Blom of Smithtown, Frances Moynihan of Little Falls and Frank Ferjanec of Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Hradsky in 2009, two sisters, Christine Piascik and Ann Jones, and two brothers, Stephen and John Ferjanec.
Calling hours are 2 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 24 at Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home. Services will follow at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25 in the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Little Falls.
