Edward Graham, 69, worked for Pepsi, liked cigars
VALATIE—Edward Graham, 69, of Graham Lane, Valatie, passed away Monday, March 21, 2011 at his home.
Born in Rhinebeck, April 14, 1941, he was the son of the late John and Edith (Lasher) Graham, Sr.
Mr. Graham was a veteran, who served in the US Army. He worked for the Pepsi Bottling Company in Latham. He was a member of the Teamsters Union in Albany and the Hoysradt Hose Company in Hudson. He enjoyed cigar smoking and was an avid reader and gardener.
He is survived by: four children, Sherry Page (Michael) of Columbiaville, Teresa Avery (Harry) of Valatie, Charles E. Graham (Jamie) of Valatie, and Christine Graham of Nassau; two sisters, Martha Cole of Valatie and Mary Stodolski of Maryland; a brother, George Graham of Valatie; two granddaughters, Cassandra and Sarah Page; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen (Cleveland) Graham; a sister, Lettie Cleveland; and three brothers, John Jr., Elwood and David Graham, Sr.
Friends may call Wednesday, March 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, lnc., Route 9, Valatie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. James Slater officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Valatie. Estella Schonhaut, 71, loved cats, salutatorian of class
LITITZ, PA—Estella “Stella” Schonhaut, 71, of Jade Drive, Lititz, PA and formerly of Patterson, NJ died Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Heart of Lancaster Hospital.
She was born in Troy, November 9, 1939, daughter of Delmar Amidon and Mildred Lackey Amidon Michaels.
In 1957, she graduated as salutatorian of her class at the Berlin Central School. She was also a graduate of Paterson State Teachers College, Patterson, NJ and attended the Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL.
She was known for her love of cats.
Survivors include: her husband, Irving R. Schonhaut, whom she married April 16, 1966; two sisters, Helen Noyes of Tomhannock, Jo Ann (John) Kellar of Berlin; a brother, Clarence (Jean) Michaels of Grafton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also survived by special friends, Barbara and Paul Ward of Totowa, NJ. She was predeceased by a two sisters, Vivian Millard and Virginia Amidon.
Funeral services were March 21, 2011 from the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home in Petersburgh, followed by burial in the Berlin Community Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to one’s favorite charity in care of the funeral home.
