Eleanor Krizar, 75, RN, scout leader
HUDSON—Eleanor M. Krizar, 75, of Stockport, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Community Hospice at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
Born in Hudson November 2, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Katherine (Sheremeta) Mazure.
Mrs. Krizar was a graduate of Hudson High School in 1953, and a graduate of Union University College of Nursing in 1956. She was a registered nurse at the Firemen’s Home for over 20 years.
Mrs. Krizar was very active in the community. For more than 25 years, she was a Cub Scout leader and den mother in Columbia County, for which she received recognition and many awards. She was the proud mother and grandmother of four Eagle Scouts. She was also a Girl Scout leader and an active 4-H leader for many years. She received the title of “master gardener” at Cornell Cooperative Extension, was an animal lover, and enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and friends.
Surviving are: her husband, Emil Krizar of Stockport; five children, Michael Krizar of Stottville, Mark (Sheila) Krizar of Columbiaville, Douglas Krizar of Stockport, Dr. Stephen (Anne) Krizar of Kinderhook and Elizabeth Krizar of Stockport; and six grandchildren, Scott, Catherine, Nicholas, Meghan, Sarah, and Joshua.
Funeral services were March 12 at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home.
Burial will take place at a later date.

Margot Jannsen, 89, restaurant owner/operator
ALBANY—Margot Jannsen, 89, of Kinderhook died March 5, 2011 at Albany Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Margret (Schmellankampf) Heidemann and the wife of the late Peter Jannsen.
Mrs. Jannsen grew up in New York City and married her husband there in 1943. In 1948, they moved to Kinderhook where owned and operated Jannsen’s Restaurant for 32 years.
She is survived by her son, Peter and his fiancée Lynn, whom she adored.
Calling hours will be Tuesday, March 22 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
