Christopher Hare, 31, apprentice electrician
GREENPORT—Christopher Hare, 31, of Germantown died February 24, 2011 in Greenport.
He was born November 1, 1979 in Norfolk, VA, the son of Joseph Hare of Virginia and the late Laurel Murray Hare.
Prior to moving to Germantown, Mr. Hare was an electrician apprentice for Mr. Electric of Virginia Beach, VA.
Survivors include: his sister, Lisa Wood Snead; his grandmother, Lorraine Murray; and aunt, Janet McDonald, all of Chesapeake, VA..
Memorial services will be held in Virginia and Germantown at the convenience of the family.

Rosa Ma Luyando, 86, loved to feed people
VALATIE—Rosa Ma Luyando, 86, a resident of the Barnwell Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, died there Monday, February 28, 2011. She was formerly of Brooklyn.
Born in Baymon, Puerto Rico, October 5, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Florentino and Carmen (Dominguez) Rivera.
Mrs. Luyando was a homemaker and a seamstress. She moved to the U.S. from Puerto Rico in 1950. She was an avid cook, who loved to feed the people who came to her home. She will always be remembered for her never-ending generosity and her selfless caring for others.
She is survived by two daughters, Maria Nelba Luyando of Brooklyn and Milagros “Millie” Tsou; her son-in-law, Dr. John Y. Tsou of Valatie; four grandchildren, Diane Toritto, An-Chi Tsou, An-ning Tsou, An-Li Tsou; two great grandsons, Noah and Lucas Toritto.
She was predeceased by her son, Celestino Luyando, Jr.
Funeral services will be Thursday, March 3, 11 a.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, lnc., Route 9, Valatie. Interment will be Friday, March 4, 11 a.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn.

Osmond Benschop, 54, worked on a farm
HUDSON—Osmond N. Benschop, 54, of Hudson, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.
He was born in Guyana, May 22, 1956.
Mr. Benschop is survived by: three sisters, Eleen Hazel of Hudson, Claudette Thomas of Walterboro, SC, and Kate Sample of Guyana; five brothers, Cedrick of Montreal, Canada, Julius, Ulric and Frederick, all of New York City, and William of Ohio; also several nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters, Lorna Benschop and Petronella Austin and his brother Albrecht.
Mr. Benschop worked on a farm in Columbia County for many years.
A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 5 at the Bates & Anderson-Redmond & Keeler Funeral Home, 110 Green Street, Hudson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Cedar Park Cemetery in Hudson.
