Robert Mazzuchelli, 76, detective, Sinatra fan

ALBANY—Robert P. Mazzuchelli, 76, of Copake, died Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Administration Medical Center.

He was born May 19, 1934 to the late Peter and Susie (Papa) Mazzuchelli.

After attending Eastchester schools, he served with the US Air Force during the Korean War. He devoted 30 years to law enforcement, first as an officer and detective with the Eastchester Police and later with the VA Police in Montrose.

He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years, Anne (Meyler) Mazzuchelli and his brother, Pete Mazzuchelli.

He is survived by his son, Robert; his daughter and son-in- law, Cathy and Michael Tartaglia of LaGrangeville; his sister, Emma Cocozza of Scarsdale; and the greatest joys of his life, his grandchildren Jenna and Dean Mazzuchelli and Dana and Brandon Tartaglia.

The ultimate Sinatra fan, Mr. Mazzuchelli truly lived his life…”his way”.

Calling hours are Friday, February 4 from 3 to 7 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake.
