Dorothy Rossignol, 72, housekeeper, bingo player

POUGHKEEPSIE—Dorothy Rossignol, 72 of Ancramdale, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

She was born in Maine, July 29, 1938.

Mrs. Rossignol was previously employed in the housekeeping department at Sharon Hospital and by Lakeville Precision Molding and Becton-Dickinson. Most recently, she worked at the Past and Presents Gift Shop in Hillsdale.

Mrs. Rossignol was a member of AARP and an avid bingo player.

On February 28, 1959, she married Ellwood Rossignol, who predeceased her in 2008.

Survivors include a brother, Alan Potwin of Fryeburg, ME and two sisters, Brenda Rand of Oxford, ME and Elaine Thompson of North Fryeburg, ME.

She also leaves a sister-in-law, Mary Snyder of Florida and many extended family members.

Friends may call Friday, January 14, 2011 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake.
