Marie Esposito, 87, housewife, canner

VALATIE—Marie Esposito, 87, a resident of Barnwell Health Facilities in Valatie, died there Saturday, December 18, 2010.

Born in New Haven, Conn., May 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Anna (Limosani) Esposito.

Mrs. Esposito was a homemaker and for a time worked as a canner at Del Monte in Seymour, Conn.

She is survived by a daughter, Pauline Leach of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; a son, Ralph Pesce, Jr., of Valatie; a sister and three brothers, Susan Saffiotte, Clement, Anthony and Pasquale Esposito, all of New Haven, Conn.; eight grandchildren Cathy, John Jr., Michael, Bruce and Tammy Leach, Jason, Jessica and Zack Pesce; 13 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 23, 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie with the Rev. John Molyn officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. A brief viewing will be held in the church at 10:30 a.m. prior to the mass. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Valatie.
