John Cisco, 73, treasure hunter, loved cats

HUDSON—John “Russ” Cisco of Hudson, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather was called home Wednesday, December 9, 2010.

Mr. Cisco was born in Suffern, November 12, 1937, to the late Russell and Margarite Cisco.

He is survived by his wife Peggy (Rekow) Cisco; children, Valarie, Vicki, Pat, Andy and Jessica; several grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings, Lynn (Ellen) Cisco and Sandra (Ralph) Genantone and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cisco enjoyed panning for gold, finding treasure with his metal detector, gardening, watching his grandchildren grow and play and watching his beloved cats.

Calling hours are Monday, December 13, 2010, 3 to 5 p.m. at the M. Grimaldi Funeral Home, 25 Railroad Avenue, Chatham.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Animal Kind Inc., P.O. Box 902, Hudson 12534.
