VALATIE—Mary M. VanBuren, 87, a resident of Barnwell Nursing Home in Valatie, died Sunday, November 21, 2010 at Barnwell.

Born in Albany, September 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Curro) DiBella.

Mrs. VanBuren was a stockroom supervisor for Jamesway Corp. in Hudson. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Valatie and a former Sunday School teacher there.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary “Zoe” Wisniowski of Stuyvesant Falls; her son, John “Jack” VanBuren of Kinderhook; a sister, Jayne DeVoss of Leesburg, Fla.; a brother, Leonard DiBella of Albany; three grandchildren, Kari VanBuren, Jacqueline Wisniowski, Michael “Josh” Wisniowski; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward VanBuren and her sister Lucy Kelley.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 24, 2 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Church, Valatie, with the Reverend John Molyn officiating. Interment will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, November 23 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie.
