SUMMERFIELD, Fla.—Joan A. Fagan Hand, 75, died October 30 in Florida.
Born in New Rochelle, November 20, 1934 to Thomas and Mary Monahan Fagan, she was the loving wife of William N. Hand, who survives.
She retired as a teacher’s assistant for the Westchester BOCES in 1994. Besides her husband, survivors include: children, Patricia M. Fendorak of Clifton Park, William R. (Valerie) Hand of Beverly Hills, Fla., Raymond B. (Tracey) Hand of Poughkeepsie, Barbara E. (Steven) Tonnesen of Hopewell Junction; a sister Carol A. Stark of Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Richard and Lauren Fendorak, Eddie and Nicholas Hand, Jennifer and Jason Hand, Stephanie, Kaitlyn and Tara Tonnesen.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Gates and Helen Wagenstein. A memorial service will take place Saturday, November 13, 1 p.m. in the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 State Route 43, Stephentown.
Inurnment will follow in the Cemetery of the Evergreens. Calling hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
