HUDSON—Margaret T. Leach, 89, of Route 9, Columbiaville, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at Columbia Memorial Hospital.

Born in Brooklyn, April 8, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Alice (Gagen) Rooney.

Mrs. Leach was a homemaker and the Stockport Town Clerk for 17 years. She was a communicant of the Church of St. Joseph in Stuyvesant Falls and a member and former secretary of the church guild there. She was also a member of the Stockport Home Bureau.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Beth Sleezer (Dave) of Stottville, Margaret Knack (James) of West Ghent; her son, John Leach Jr. of Columbiaville; a sister, Alice Kahn of Syracuse; four grandchildren, Becky, Laurie, Tom, Kevin; and two great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, John Edward Leach Sr. and her sister, Rose Kane.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 8, 11 a.m. at the Church of St. Joseph, Stuyvesant Falls, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.

Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Stuyvesant Falls. Friends may call Sunday, 4 to 7 p.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, lnc., Route 9, Valatie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the

Church of St. Joseph, 1820 Route 9, Stuyvesant 12173.
