VALATIE—Anna C. McDermott, 94, a resident of Barnwell Nursing Home, died there, Tuesday, October 26, 2010..
Born in Rensselaer, October 18, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Christian and Amelia (Wieland) Schwarz. Mrs. McDermott was a homemaker and a beautician.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Bertram of Valatie and Linda Everett (Steven) of Haskell, OK; one son, Walter Bertram (Sally) of Nassau; a step-son, John A. McDermott of Green Island; eight grandchildren, Walter, Peter and Christian Bertram, Stacy Pfaltz, Chrissy Stancil, Heather
O’Donnell, Kimberly Morton and Beth McDermott; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husbands, Walter W. Bertram and John Allen McDermott and her grandson Jeffrey Lovell.
Funeral services and burial in North Chatham Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Contributions may be made to the North Chatham United Methodist Church, North Chatham, 12132. Arrangements are with the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Inc., Route 9, Valatie.
