Mary Gaudio, 96, seamstress, loved her family

PHILMONT—Mary Gaudio of Hudson died Wednesday,September 29 at Pine Haven Nursing Home. She was 96.

Born in Ancona, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Luciano and Blanche (Castellani) Innocenzi.

Mrs. Gaudio was a seamstress at the Nancy Ann Dress Shop in Hudson. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Hudson and served on the Christian Services Committee. She enjoyed reading and ironing and had a great love for her family.

Mrs. Gaudio is survived by nieces and nephews, Madeline and (Chet) Suszko of Albany, Pat Gaudio of Schenectady, Lucia and (James) McDonald of Kinderhook, and many other nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Salvatore Gaudio in 1977; son, Joseph L. Gaudio in 1953; and sisters, Josephine Battistello and Mollie Tamburro.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, 429 East Allen Street, Hudson, with Fr. Winston Bath officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Church or the Christian Services Committee both at P.O. Box 323 Hudson, 12534.

Arrangements were with McDonald-Valenti-Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport.
