ALBANY—Mary Frances Lynch, 85 a former longtime resident of Ancramdale, passed away Friday September 24, 2010 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital.
She was born on May 15, 1925 in Elizabeth, NJ, daughter of the late Edward C. and Lillian (Bickerdyke) Moore.
Mrs. Lynch was a resident of Ancramdale from 1961 to 1996, when she moved to the home of her daughter in Preston Hollow.
She was a registered nurse with the State of New York at Taconic D.D.S.O. in Wassaic until her retirement in 1990.
She was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy.
An avid quilter, Mrs. Lynch was a member of the United Methodist Church of Greenville and Norton Hill. She was a former member of the Ancramdale Presbyterian Church.
She was predeceased by her husband, Andrew J. Lynch in 1969.
Survivors include her children, Andrew J. Lynch and his wife Betty of Rhinebeck; Susan Marie Lynch of Preston Hollow and Patricia Lynch and her fiance David VanDeBogart of Millerton. She also leaves two grandchildren, one great grandchild and her faithful canine companion Mistletoe.
Funeral services will be held Monday September 27, 2010 at 10 a.m. from the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22, Copake, with the Rev. Thomas Carney officiating.
Interment will be in the Irondale Cemetery, Millerton.
