Rozalia Sinai, 98, worked at pocketbook factory

PHILMONT—Rozalia Sinai of Hudson died Saturday September 18, 2010 at Pine Haven Nursing Home. She was 98.

Born in Borsa, Hungary June 16, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Janos and Maria (Illes) Devald.

Mrs. Sinai was a factory worker at Kadin Brothers Pocketbook Factory in Hudson until its closing. She was a communicant of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ghent congregation, currently on Fairview Avenue, Greenport.
She is survived by one sister, Elizabeth Somogyi of Hungary; three nieces, Maria Carpenter of Mellenville, Irene Martin of Stottville and Julia White of Utica.

She was predeceased by her husband John Sinai in 1994; two brothers, Joseph and John Devald; and one sister, Margaret Palsovic.
Calling hours will be Friday, September 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the McDonald-Valenti-Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport.

Funeral services will be Saturday September  25, 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Carl Genovese of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Ghent Congregation, officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Park Cemetery, Hudson.
