Linda Rickard, 51, loved Elvis and opening presents

SCHENECTADY—Linda Sue Rickard of Riverview Road, Schenectady died August 4, 2010 at Ellis Hospital. She lived in a residence for disabled persons operated by Catholic Charities Disabilities Services.

Born August 4, 1959 in Hudson, she was the daughter of Lawrence V. Rickard of Kinderhook and the late T. Joyce (Brown).

 

Despite her numerous disabilities, illnesses and surgical operations, Ms. Rickard was usually bright and cheerful. She enjoyed opening presents at Christmas and on her birthday. She especially enjoyed listening to her favorite singer Elvis Presley and watching his movies.

Besides her father, she is survived by four sisters, Debra Joy (Duane A. Collett) of Ghent, Holly Ann (George R. Scism), Tracy Lynn (Charles W. Dennis) and Kelly Jo (Ronald E. Huyck) all of Niverville; and a nephew, Cody Wayne Huyck of Niverville.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 9, 11 a.m. at the Raymond E. Bond Funeral Home, Route 9, Valatie. There will be no calling hours. Burial will follow in the Manorkill Cemetery, Schoharie County, beside her mother.
