PHILMONT—Mary Wasowicz, 82, of Philmont, and formerly of Rod and Gun Club Road Stottville, died Thursday July 8, 2010 at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont.
Born in Poland October 22, 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Barbara Hryconuk. Mrs. Wasowicz was a homemaker and also worked her family farm in Stottville. She was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church, formerly Holy Family Church in Stottville. She is survived by one son, John and (Rose) Wasowicz of Binghamton; two daughters, Ann and (William) Lixfield of Catskill, Irene Fillio of Hudson; and grandsons, Peter Wasowicz and Jason Sweet. She was predeceased by her husband Walter Wasowicz.
Arrangements were with the McDonald-Valenti-Richards Funeral Home, 700 Town Hall Drive, Greenport.
Burial was in the family plot at Cedar Park Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of both Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont and Community Hospice of Columbia-Greene for the excellent care given to their mother.
