WASHINGTON, DC–Congressman Scott Murphy (D-20th) is scheduled to appear at two events in Columbia County this Thursday, April 1, hosting a Congress-on-Your-Corner gathering at Stageworks, 41 Cross Street, Hudson, across the street and inland from the Amtrak station, at 9:30 a.m. after speaking at a Chamber of Commerce legislative breakfast at Columbia-Greene Community College at 8 a.m.
The Congress-on-your-Corner event is free; there is an $18 fee for the Chamber breakfast.
A release from the congressman’s office said that at the Congress-on-Your-Corner Mr. Murphy will be available to “speak with constituents about critical local issues as well as what’s going on in Congress.”
The release says that Rep. Murphy has unveiled his plan to renew Upstate New York and that he is now travelling around the district to continue working with industry and the public to try to improve the economy here.
The 20th District covers all of Columbia County and all or parts of nine other counties, stretching from the Adirondacks to Dutchess County and reaching into the western Catskills.
