Luis Garcia, 40, of Coxsackie, was arrested July 28 at 2:57 p.m. in Cairo and charged with aggravated harrassment of an employee by an inmate, a class E felony. Garcia’s arrest status was not reported.
Bakary Camara, 52, of Coxsackie, was arrested July 28 at 10:58 a.m. in Cairo and charged with second-degree assault/injuring a person while confined in a correctional facilty, a class E attempted felony. Camara’s arrest status was not reported.
Matthew Williams, 31, of Freehold, was arrested July 28 at 8:26 p.m. in Cairo and charged with second-degree criminal contempt/disobeying a court order, a class A misdemeanor. Williams’ arrest status was not reported.
Harriet Bucca, 76, of Haines Falls, was arrested July 28 at 12:30 p.m. in Tannersville and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alchol content over 0.08% and driving while intoxicated, both unclassified misdemeanors. Bucca was issued an appearance ticket.
Isaiah De Vante Richardson, 20, of Coxsackie, was arrested July 28 at 3:59 p.m. in Coxsackie and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon/loaded firearm, a class C felony; criminal possession of a firearm, a class E felony; and possession of a loaded firearm in or on a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Richardson’s arrest status was not reported.
Kenneth Sutton, 20, of Greenville, was arrested July 28 at 11:12 p.m. in Coxsackie and charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alchol content over 0.08%, both unclassified misdemeanors. Sutton was issued an appearance ticket.
Dennis Harrington, 55, of Freehold, was arrested July 29 at 2:07 a.m. in Durham and charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08%, both unclassified misdemeanors. Harrington was issued an appearance ticket.
Noel Gerard Byrne, 53, of Woodside, was arrested July 29 at 4:03 a.m. in Catskill and charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor. Byrne was released on his own recognizance.
John Shultis, 42, of Saugerties, was arrested July 29 at 7:20 p.m. in Catskill and charged with second-degree assault/intent to cause physical injury with a weapon, a class D felony. Shultis was released on his own recognizance.
Zackary Paul Lane, 22, of Lanesville, was arrested July 30 at 4:45 a.m. in Tannersville and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alchol content over 0.08% and driving while intoxicated, both unclassified misdemeanors. Lane was issued an appearance ticket.
Angela Graf, 29, of Purling, was arrested July 30 at 7:40 p.m. in Cairo and charged with aggravated family offense, a class E felony, and criminal mischief with intent to damage property, a class A misdemeanor. Graf was released on her own recognizance.
Matthew Kaider, 65, of Greenville, was arrested July 30 at 7:33 p.m. in Greenville and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08% with a prior conviction and driving while intoxicated with a previous conviction, both class D felonies. Kaider was issued an appearance ticket.
Christian Ruhlman, 29, of Castleton-on-Hudson, was arrested July 31 at 10:12 p.m. in Catskill and charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08%, both unclassified misdemeanors. Ruhlman was issued an appearance ticket.
Keith Barlow, 55, of Fly Creek, was arrested Aug. 1 at 1:24 a.m. in Cairo and charged with driving while intoxicated with two previous convictions and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08% with two prior convictions, both class D felonies, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a class E felony. Barlow was issued an appearance ticket.
Angela Berry, 46, of Catskill, was arrested Aug. 1 at 3:45 a.m. in Catskill and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and manufacture of drug-related paraphernalia, both class A misdemeanors. Berry was issued an appearance ticket.
Lynette DeVito, 49, of Catskill, was arrested Aug. 1 at 3:53 a.m. in Catskill and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. DeVito was issued an appearance ticket.
Paul VanBenschoten, 52, of Stuyvesant Falls, was arrested Aug. 1 at 3:59 a.m. in Catskill and charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a narcotic drug, a class C felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, manufacture of drug-related paraphernalia and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphedrnalia, all class A misdemeanors. VanBenschoten was issued an appearance ticket.
Jarod David Felty, 21, of West Coxsackie, was arrested Aug. 1 at 8:22 p.m. in Cairo and charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, both class A misdemeanors. Felty was issued an appearance ticket.
Kindra Prater, 39, of Greenville, was arrested Aug. 2 at 10 p.m. in Greenville and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a class E felony; one count of manufacture of drug-related paraphernalia and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia, and three counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all class A misdemeanors; and operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor. Prater was issued an appearance ticket.
Anastasia Salerno, 34, of Waterford, was arrested Aug. 3 at 7:43 p.m. in Westerlo and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08% and driving while intoxicated, both unclassified misdemeanors. Salerno was issued an appearance ticket.
Cynthia Mallory, 57, of Jewett, was arrested Aug. 4 at 12:40 a.m. in Windham and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08% and driving while intoxicated, both unclassified misdemeanors. Mallory was issued an appearance ticket.
Christopher Stafford, 48, of Catskill, was arrested Aug. 4 at 3:26 p.m. in Catskill and charged with second-degree menacing with a weapon and criminal mischief with intent to damage property, both class A misdemeanors. Stafford was issued an appearance ticket.
Roberta Cole, 44, of Acra, was arrested Aug. 4 at 8:43 p.m. in Cairo and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor. Cole was issued an appearance ticket.
Gianna Cumba, 22, of Windham , was arrested Aug. 5 at 1:04 a.m. in Windham and charged with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content over 0.08%, both unclassified misdemeanors. Cumba was issued an appearance ticket.

George Edwin Story, 104, of Ghent, NY, passed away at home peacefully in the loving company of his daughters on Friday, June 28, 2024.

George was born to Clinton and Gladys (Cozine) Story on Feb. 22, 1920, in Freehold, NY. He graduated from Greenville Academy in 1937 and received his B.S. in Horticulture from Cornell University in 1942.

George began his career in agriculture with a farmstand in Freehold, which expanded to seasonal flowers and nursery stock. With the help of his wife and children, he continued to grow the business and in 1954, he established Story’s Nursery on Route 67. It was truly a family business.

The business flourished as George developed a reputation for cultivating beautiful plants, and the nursery quickly became the destination that it is today. He could still be found picking yellow leaves off the geraniums at 99. His passion and love of plants fueled his long life.

When he was not tending to the plants, George enjoyed bowling and golfing, which he continued to play until he was 98 years young. George was also a Freemason and a member of the Catskill Elks.

He moved to Ghent, NY, in 2020, and lived with his daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and Terry, where he brought love and laughter with his open heart and quick wit.

George was predeceased by his first wife, Jean Winyall Story, and his second wife, Marcia Earl Story. He is survived by seven children, John (Diana) Story, Stephanie Story, Douglas (Susan) Story, Thomas (Andrea) Story, Pamela (Terry) DeGeyter, Christine Story, and Dana (Azraelle) Story, as well as 17 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to all the Community Hospice doctors, nurses and volunteer visitors. Deepest gratitude also to our compassionate night aides. George enjoyed their loving attention.
