The People’s Parade in the Village of Kinderhook was back in full force this year with a couple of hundred people turning out. The lineup starts at Rothermel Park and ends at the Village Square, where there is a reading of the Declaration of Independence and singing of the National Anthem, this year by soprano Amanda Boyd. The event is sponsored by the Kinderhook Business & Professional Association (KBPA) and held annually on July 4. Pictured are families marching in the parade with former President Martin Van Buren. Also, the Headless Horseman made an appearance. Photo by Siobhan Connally
