PALENVILLE — On April 28, Kathleen McQuaid Holdridge, founder and president of KathodeRay Media, Inc., was selected as this year’s Suzanne Oldakowski Woman of Excellence by the Greene County Chamber of Commerce.
While there, she was also surprised with additional commendations and certificates of achievement from state Sen. Michelle Hinchey, D-46, and U.S. Rep. Antonio Delgado, D-19. These awards are all in recognition of her years of hard work and commitment to Greene County business.
Since founding KathodeRay Media, Inc. in 1997, McQuaid Holdridge has created marketing programs for many brands and organizations. Throughout her career, McQuaid Holdridge’s professional offerings have expanded to embrace the latest advancements in print, digital and mobile media, quickly responding to shifts in the marketplace. Combining this affinity for blending the latest technology and marketing innovations with superior design and messaging has enabled the company to provide world-class marketing, business and technical solutions for over 25 years.
Speaking at the event, Jeff Friedman, president and executive director of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce, praised McQuaid Holdridge’s devotion to economic growth within the region.
“Kathleen McQuaid Holdridge truly exemplifies what a modern, successful businesswoman is,” Friedman said. “She truly is a Woman of Excellence, and Greene County is very proud to honor her.”
State Sen. Michelle Hinchey was at the event to present McQuaid Holdridge with her Certificate of Achievement, along with U.S. Rep. Delgado’s award.
Writing in, Delgado said, “As the founder and president of KathodeRay Media Inc., your enterprising spirit and industrious work ethic have both facilitated the growth of your company and set a positive example for young entrepreneurs in our region. Furthermore, your work as a member of the Greene County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and time spent teaching at SUNY New Paltz demonstrates clear, enduring commitment to the well-being of Greene County and its neighboring communities… For these efforts and others, you are profoundly deserving of this accolade.”
McQuaid Holdridge said she is proud to give back to the community she has called home for nearly two decades.
“I fell in love with Greene County when I moved here almost 20 years ago,” she said. “It has been an honor to help local and regional businesses — the outpouring of kindness and congratulations has been very touching. I am grateful to be involved in the community while doing work I enjoy.”
