HUDSON—A public servant for more than 30 years, Columbia County District Attorney Paul Czajka has decided not to run again this November.
In a letter dated January 18, 2023 sent to both Republican and Conservative party committeemen, Mr. Czajka announced that as his fifth, non-consecutive, term as District Attorney comes to a close, “I inform you that I will not be a candidate for District Attorney in 2023.”
The letter says that the people of Columbia County have “entrusted” him with protecting family, fellow citizens and the entire community by electing him as district attorney, county judge and again as district attorney.
“… You have bestowed upon me the greatest honor of my professional life. I cannot overstate my gratitude,” he said in the letter. (more…)
