HUDSON–Columbia County Board of Supervisor’s Chairman Matt Murell has ordered the closure of all county buildings to the public effective 4 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2020 through April 3, 2020.
The county is taking these measures in an effort to protect the public and its employees, according to a public notice issued by Mr. Murell this afternoon (March 20).
The following Essential Departments need to report to their respective offices:
911, Communications, Sheriff, Corrections, Public Health, Office for the Aging, Highway, Solid Waste, MIS, Board of Elections and Facilities.
All other staff will work from home as assigned by the their department heads.
The Department of Social Services will be available through their on-call services.
Anyone with an emergency situation, should call 9-1-1. For all business-related matters for a specific department, contact that department directly.
