Columbia County closings, cancellations reported

GHENT–The snowstorm predicted to hit this area has caused the cancellations of local meetings and other events. Below is a list cancellations and postponements received so far by The Columbia Paper.

If your agency or organization has changed a scheduled event due to the storm, please email the name of the event, the group or agency sponsoring it, the date and time it was supposed to have taken place and any information about a rescheduled date to news@columbiapaper.com.

We will update the information as we receive it.

School closings and delays are usually posted on district websites and can be found at the websites of Albany area TV stations.

 Cancellations/Postponements

The City of Hudson has declared a Snow Emergency beginning at 8 p.m. Monday, January 26 and running through Wednesday, January 28. Alternate side of the street parking will be in force. There will be No Parking on the Even side of city streets from 8 p.m. Monday through 8 p.m. Tuesday; No Parking on the Odd side of the street from 8 p.m. Tuesday until the end of the emergency Wednesday. There will be snow removal Thursday and Friday, with signs instructing motorists where to park.

Chatham Democrats rescheduled their Tuesday meeting to 7 p.m. Tuesday, February 3 at 11 Kinderhook Street.

Columbia County Department of Health regularly scheduled immunization clinic and walk-in STD/HIV clinic have been cancelled for Tuesday  January 27.

Columbia County Public Works Committee Airport Subcommittee meeting has been rescheduled to Monday, February 2 at 5 p.m.

Columbia County Solid Waste Stations located in Livingston and Chatham will be closed on Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

New Lebanon Special CAC meeting scheduled for Monday, January 26 at 6 p.m, has been cancelled. It will be rescheduled.

New Lebanon Special Town Board meeting scheduled for Tuesday, January 27 has been cancelled.
