ANNANDALE—The May 3 gala celebrating the 70th anniversary season of the Hudson Valley Chamber Music Circle has been postponed to the fall. CHATHAM—March performances at PS21 have been canceled, but the grounds, with their view of the Catskills, remain open without charge. These include 100 acres of trails, meadows, woodlands and orchards; dogs are welcome, on leads.
CLAVERACK–As the Columbia-Greene Humane Society/SPCA continues to monitor the rapidly evolving situation around COVID 19, its first concerns are the safety of animals, the staff who serve them, and the community. In these unprecedented times, rest assured that CGHS/SPCA will continue to care for all animals that are in need. We will make every effort to continue to offer vital shelter services while ensuring a safe environment for staff and visitors.
Based on Governor Cuomo’s new business regulations, we will be closing our lobby to visitors effective immediately. However, to meet the needs of our community, we will continue to offer some services in a limited capacity.

CLAVERACK—Columbia County Habitat for Humanity offices and ReStore, 829 Route 66, is closing ReStore operations and construction activities through March 31, 2020. There will be no store hours, pickups, deliveries or drop-offs, and, no work on construction sites with the possible exception of outside contractors.
Respecting the new gathering guidelines, all volunteer opportunities and events, including the May fundraising gala, are being cancelled until further notice.

CLERMONT—New York State Parks are open including the Clermont State Historic Site, Clermont Avenue. All year-round parks, trails and grounds of historic sites are currently open for outdoor recreation and enjoyment.
In an effort to stem the spread of COVID-19 and to encourage social distancing, all public programs and events are suspended indefinitely. This means that the Mansion, including house tours, and the Visitor Center at Clermont State Historic Site will not be opening for the season as previously scheduled, April 9. The Chancellor’s Sheep and Wool Showcase has been cancelled, originally scheduled for April 18, 2020.
Our historic grounds and trails remain open daily, from 8:30 a.m. to sunset, and Governor Cuomo has waived all parking fees during the current COVID-19 public health crisis.
Throughout the crisis, park visitors are asked to take steps to protect themselves, their health, and the health of their community. Try to keep at least 6 feet away from each other and avoid close contact, like hugging and shaking hands. Wash your hands frequently or use hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available, and avoid surfaces that are frequently touched, like doorknobs and handrails.
Clermont’s public restrooms will remain open and more frequent cleaning has been instituted. Visitors should remember that, as a public park, surfaces are only as clean as the last person who has touched them.
State Parks is closely coordinating with state’s emergency preparedness and response efforts. As the situation continues to develop, Clermont will take any necessary actions to protect visitor and staff health. State Parks will provide updates periodically on social media, and at parks.ny.gov.
COPAKE—Roeliff Jansen Community Library, 9091 Route 22, Copake. In an effort to help slow the spread of the Coronavirus, the Roeliff Jansen Community Library will be closed to the public effective Wednesday, March 18, through March 31. The Library will reassess whether or not to reopen at that time. Patrons who have materials out may return them in the book drop when due or hold them until the Library reopens. COPAKE–As of noon, March 19, 2020, the Copake Town Hall and the Highway Garage are closed until further notice. We are taking these precautions out of concern for our employees- and to avoid illness which would interfere with our continued service to the public. This situation will be reassessed at the end of March.
Although the offices will be closed, the public can communicate with staff through the telephone, email and US mail. Additionally, letters or documents can be left in our drop box which is outside our front door- and will be checked every weekday and Saturday. Likewise, we will be checking our voicemail and email on a regular basis.
Of particular concern is our Building Department since we are well aware of the implications this virus can have for our local economy. Our building inspector Lee Heim has assured us that he can issue permits remotely.
Should you need garbage bags or want to buy a permit for the Transfer Station, visit the Transfer Station which will be open for its normal days and hours.

GREENPORT–The public Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) training scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at Columbia-Greene Community College, has been canceled.
GREENPORT–Columbia-Greene Community College will extend its Spring Break for students by one week, from Monday, March 16, to Friday, March 27, 2020. This calendar change will allow the college additional time to develop plans to transition courses, wherever possible, to remote instruction including distance- and online learning.
GREENPORT–Olana State Historic Site, 5720 State Route 9G, like all New York State Parks remains open. Access to Olana’s 250-acre landscape is free. The park is open every day from 8 AM to sunset. Based on current New York State Department of Health guidance, Olana has suspended all public programs and tours at this time. Tours will resume tours as soon as the health situation permits.
