GHENT–Elections were held Tuesday, March 18 in all four of the county’s villages, but there was only one contested ballot. That was in Philmont, where incumbent Barbara Sagal held her seat and former Trustee Brain Johnson took the second open seat on the Village Board in a three-way race with Monte E. Jennings.

There were also some write-in candidates in several races.
