GHENT–The Columbia Paper and columbiapaper.com have entered a strategic business alliance with the J. Ritter Marketing and Media agency of Philmont, designating JRMM the authorized sales agent for display advertising in the newspaper’s print and digital formats.
The agreement, which takes effect immediately, means customers now have the option of contacting JRMM directly to place display ads in The Columbia Paper and on its website. This gives customers access, at no additional cost, to JRMM’s experienced professional advice on the look and placement of ads that appear in The Columbia Paper. The Columbia Paper staff will still be available to service existing accounts and handle all billing.
“This alliance will give our customers more choices so that The Columbia Paper and columbiapaper.com become even more effective at helping businesses, institutions and individuals reach Columbia County readers,” said Parry Teasdale, owner and publisher of the Columbia Paper. “We’ve worked with JRMM for nearly five years. The agency is client-focused, ethical, reliable and easy to work with.”
The Columbia Paper and the news website www.columbiapaper.com were launched in early 2009 and have grown steadily over the last five years. Today, The Columbia Paper is the second largest paid circulation newspaper published in the county.
JRMM is a full service agency with local, regional and national clients. Owner Jim Brady has been in the advertising and marketing business for 42 years. “Parry Teasdale and I started our businesses within a few days of each other in 2009. The alliance between The Columbia Paper and JRMM is non-exclusive, leaving JRMM available to serve as the agency for customers’ advertising in other media for those who want that service.
The Columbia Paper staff will continue to handle public notices and classified advertising.
