HUDSON–The city’s newest police officer is Jeffrey F. Keyser, 23, of Hudson, who was sworn in by City Clerk Tracy Delaney at City Hall, August 10.

Police Commissioner Ronald Grant and Chief Ellis C. Richardson announced the new hire in a press release.

Officer Keyser was issued shield #71 by Commissioner Grant and began his career with the city police force that day.

He is assigned to indoctrination, desk duty and field training for the next 8 to 12 weeks, while he is trained and evaluated by certified field training officers and police instructors.

Upon successful completion of field training, he will patrol the streets of Hudson under the guidance of senior police officers and supervisors.
