HUDSON—City Police have charged Francisco Fernandez, 54, of Hudson and Queens with third degree robbery in connection with the July 5 robbery of the Bank of America at 561 Warren Street.
Mr. Fernandez was arraigned in Hudson City Court before City Judge John Connor and sent to the Columbia County Jail without bail. He is on parole out of Queens. He was arrested July 6 by Hudson Police detectives with assistance from patrols after a person of interest was questioned at the police station.
The investigation is continuing.
Mr. Fernandez allegedly stole an undetermined amount of money from the bank, July 5 at 12:29 p.m. No one was hurt during the crime and no weapon was displayed.
Hudson Police patrol officers and detectives responded to the scene and opened an investigation. They issued a description of the suspect and bank surveillance photos of him.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, Catskill Police and other local police agencies were notified and assisted.
