RAVENA-COEYMANS-SELKIRK — The RCS Indians wrestlers won big against the Ichabod Crane Riders in a dual meet Thursday.
The Indians defeated the Riders 51-9.
The Indians’ Jayden Acomb pinned his opponent, Antonio Morris, in 4:40 to win in the 110-pound weight class. Franky Broadhurst, competing in the 132-pound division, defeated the Riders’ Liam Wasson, while Kaden Potter came out on top against Silas Cleary in the 145-pound weight class.
Jayden Holl, of the Indians, defeated Cameron Cutler by decision 6-1 in the 189-pound division; Dominick Maltese won by major decision against Teddy Lerman 13-5 in the 215-pound division; and Jaymie Carkner, competing in the 285-pound weight class, defeated Nicholas Labounty 13-0 by major decision.
Four Indians won by forfeit — Rae Jones, 126 pounds; Alivia Ortiz, 138 pounds; Dominick Brozowki, 152 pounds; and Antonio Piscitelli, 16 pounds.
The varsity wrestling team will next compete against Mohonasen Central on Jan. 19 in an away match.
