ALBANY — Assemblyman Chris Tague (R-102) last week showed recognition and thanks to two veterans of the Vietnam War who live in the 102nd Assembly District.
As the son of a Vietnam veteran and the grandson of a World War II veteran, Tague said he was glad to have the opportunity to show gratitude to the two veterans who joined him.
Catskill resident Thomas Andreassen and Sheriff Ron Stevens of Schoharie both were treated with the honors of the Assembly Chamber as well as given a look into how state government operates.
“I’m incredibly honored that both Thomas and Sheriff Stevens were able to join me today on this special occasion,” Tague said. “The sacrifice these men and many more made is one not made by many around the world, and the work they did for this nation cannot be understated.”
Tague continued, “I’m so proud to represent these men in state government, and I’m so grateful to them for joining us in Albany and allowing us to thank them for their service and sacrifice. And I want to send a special message to all of our Vietnam veterans: God bless you, thank you for your service, and welcome home!” Tague said.
Tague represents the 102nd Assembly District, which includes all of Greene and Schoharie counties, and parts of Albany, Delaware, Otsego and Ulster counties.
